Wedding Party

Meet our best peeps!

Carly Matz

Maid of Honor

ONE OF MOLLIE’S SISTERS – Carly is the life of the party! She is fun, caring, and yes, quite funny (but don't tell her that, it'll go right to her head). Carly always has my back, and I can always count on her for everything, from fashion advice to a shoulder to cry on. I love our long FaceTimes, even if I don’t answer her calls every time. I am so lucky to have her as a built-in best friend and my maid of honor!

Erin Heffez

Matron of Honor

DANNI’S COLLEGE FRIEND – Erin & I actually grew up together in Deerfield but didn’t get close until we visited the University of Michigan together our Senior Year of high school. We had each other’s backs since day 1 of freshman year and were inseparable throughout college. We joined Chi-O together, roomed together in the sorority house, and got into lots of trouble together. Erin is an incredibly loyal friend, and I can’t wait for her to be my MOH!

Ella Matz

Maid of Honor

ONE OF MOLLIE’S SISTERS – Ella is the sweetest, most down to earth person you will ever meet. Whenever I want to get an honest opinion, I go to Ella, because I know she'll tell me the purest version of the truth. Having a sister that's 9 years younger is something special - I still remember the day she was born, the moment she first came home, and watching her grow up. I can't wait for her to be my MOH!

Leah Greenwald

Bridesmaid

DANNI’S COLLEGE FRIEND – Leah and I were in the same sorority and took some classes together early on in college, but it wasn’t until we went abroad to Spain together during our Junior year that we became really close friends. We were based in Sevilla, but we traveled all over Europe together, sharing in amazing adventures. We share a deep & loyal (and sometimes hatred, depending on how they’re playing) commitment to Michigan football, and we even broadcast the games in our alter egos, nacho & taco. Now, as neighbors in Chicago, our adventures get to continue!

Rebecca Leopold

Bridesmaid

MOLLIE’S BEST FRIEND SINCE HIGH SCHOOL – Rebecca has been my closest friend for almost 15 years. In high school, when all the cool kids were going out to party, Rebecca and I were at home on Saturday nights, watching SNL and laughing our butts off. As we’ve grown up, we’ve also grown an incredible long-distance friendship that has stood the test of time. From travels together, to weekly phone calls, to raising pups together from afar – I am so lucky to have Rebecca by my side!

Jamie Mayer

Bridesmaid

DANNI’s COLLEGE FRIEND – Jamie and I were in the same sorority pledge class, but we didn’t get close until 2nd semester freshman year when we both took an 8am discussion group for Econ 101 together. We commiserated together in the wee hours of the morning and have stayed besties ever since. Jamie is an amazing friend – she is always there for me when I need motherly advice (from someone that’s not Gail) or a great recipe to cook. Jamie’s dog Frankie and our Duke have followed in their moms’ footsteps and become best friends too!

Hannah Weitz

Bridesmaid

MOLLIE’S BESTIE FROM CAMP – Hannah & I became inseparable at camp in the summer of 2008 as campers. When we joined the staff at camp, we did absolutely everything together – days off in Columbia, nights off at the movies – and in the summer of 2013, we even lived together during our days on the A-Team. When Hannah and I both moved to Chicago after college, we finally got to live in the same city YEAR-ROUND! Even though she’s in Boston now, she’s still my #1 best.

Lexi Lipkin

Bridesmaid

DANNI’S COLLEGE FRIEND – Lexi and I became close in the sorority house and stayed that way ever since. She is such a smart, fun, and loyal friend! Even after school ended, we made many efforts to keep our long-distance friendship kindling – visiting one another in New York, Chicago, and Florida. I know that I can go to Lexi for anything and she will always be there for me. I love our spontaneous FaceTimes and how much we always laugh when we are together. I wouldn’t have it any other way than for Lexi to be a big part of my special day!

Sarah Strickberger

Bridesmaid

MOLLIE’S COLLEGE FRIEND – Sarah is undoubtedly the funniest person in any room! She always knows how to put a smile on my face, but she’s also always there for me through the hard stuff. We met the first week of freshman year, and we clicked instantly. We quickly decided to be roomies sophomore year, and the rest is history. Through countless nights at Rick’s & Skeeps, frat parties, and just a couple of ER visits, we always have the best time together. I am so grateful for such an amazing friend!

Leah Sternberg

Bridesmaid

DANNI’S COLLEGE FRIEND – Leah and I met the first week of freshman year at a pregame in my dorm room. At the time I wasn’t her favorite person because she thought I was stealing her Michigan boys, but little did she know that she would be officiating my wedding! Despite first impressions, Leah and I maintained a strong friendship over our mutual love for potato chip flavors and pranks. I love that I can have profound conversations with her but also be silly together at the same time. I can truly say she is one of the coolest rabbis I’ve ever known. I am so beyond lucky, honored, and excited that Leah will be marrying Mollie and I!

Rebecca Scharf

Bridesmaid

MOLLIE’S COLLEGE FRIEND – Scharfy/Reb (the only names Mollie calls her) is one of the hardest working, most down-to-earth people I know. She is always, ALWAYS there for me when I need her – whether it’s for a good laugh or a long talk. We became friends right at the start of freshman year, and our doors were always open to each other on our hall. We became even closer in Chi O, and during our semester abroad in Ann Arbor, and living together senior year. Even though we live far away from each other now, we are closer than ever!

Allie Ellman

Bridesmaid

DANNI’S CHICAGO FRIEND – Allie and I met the first week that I moved to downtown Chicago at a Rosh Hashanah dinner. We were both eager to make new friends, and we instantly clicked – we realized we had so much in common. We started doing everything together – from workout classes, to going out for late nights at Beaumont or the Hangge Uppe, to our shenanigans in 1111. I feel so lucky to have found such a kind, fun, and genuine friend like Allie. Now, Allie’s dog Junior and Duke are obsessed with each other, and even though we’ve matured, we still get up to our shenanigans together!

Kelly Sellew

Bridesmaid

MOLLIE’S WORK WIFE TURNED BESTIE – Kelly & I met the first day of our internship at SC Johnson. We bonded over both being from the East Coast and sticking out like sore thumbs in Wisconsin, and we’ve been friends ever since. When we both moved to Chicago after college, we became even closer! I’m so happy that Kelly was also able to get close with Danni and get to know us individually & as a couple. I was so grateful to be a part of Kelly’s wedding in 2019, and now I can’t wait to have her be part of mine.

Katherine Simon

Bridesmaid

DANNI’S FRESHMAN ROOMIE – Kath and I got set up to be freshman year roommates through a mutual friend. Kath knew her way around U of M and immediately took me under her wing – introducing me to all her friends from Michigan and bringing me around to different parties. Though we ended up in different sororities, we stayed close throughout our years at Michigan and beyond. From the Ox to Chicago, I am so thankful to have such a solid friendship with Katherine – she is so caring and I know that I can always count on her when I need someone to be there for me.

Ethan Matz

Bridesman

MOLLIE’S BROTHER – Ethan is the best big brother I ever could have asked for! He is smart, funny, witty, and just about the most fun person in the world after 2+ drinks #Drethan. I have looked up to Ethan for as long as I can remember – in high school, all of my teachers used to smile when they realized I was his younger sister. Ethan is a really special person, and I feel so lucky that he’ll be part of my big day!

Mac Levin

Bridesman

DANNI’S BROTHER – Mac is the best (and only!) brother I could have ever asked for. We have always had such a great relationship – constantly playing together when we were kids whether it be pretty, pretty princess, backyard baseball, or Nintendo. We both have one another’s back no matter what. We have so much in common as he has followed in my footsteps to Michigan and now Chicago, one upping me along the way. He is such a humble, genuine, and caring guy. I am so happy that he is going to be a part of my special day!
