Neither of us really knows when we met exactly. Mollie thinks it was during an event at Chi Omega called “Meet the Sophomores.” Danni thinks it was at a philanthropy event called “Wing Fling.” Either way, from the moment we met, we were inseparable. We had an instant bond and an incredibly strong connection. We were constantly finding excuses to spend time together – whether it was pregaming in Danni’s room in the Chi O house, or studying together in the UGLI, or meeting up at a frat party – wherever one of us was, you would probably find the other. Somewhere along the way, our friendship evolved into something more. We couldn’t deny that our platonic relationship had turned into a crush, and that crush turned into love. After Danni’s graduation, we did long distance for 2 years. It wasn’t easy, but we always came back to each other. Finally, in 2016, Mollie moved to Chicago, and the rest was history. In 2019, we moved into our first apartment together in Old Town. Little did we know, we’d be spending a LOT of time in that apartment. When the pandemic hit, we hunkered down… but COVID wasn’t the only thing that came into our lives in 2020. We also got our adorable, floofy man, Duke the Bernedoodle. Becoming dog moms together strengthened our love, as we became a little family of 3. FINALLY, 8 years after we first fell in love, in the fall of 2020, we put a couple of rings on it. We cannot wait to celebrate our wedding in June 2022 with all of our family and friends who came along this journey with us! We truly are #aMatzMadeInLevin.
