This is where we were hiking when Michael proposed! Uplands is a great, easily accessible trail for those looking to get in a short outdoor workout or spot some of the local wildlife. A dirt-surfaced 2.2-mile loop, Uplands has a steady uphill climb for the first mile, leading hikers, bikers and trail runners through fields of wildflowers, aspen groves and forest canopy. "Moderately difficult" and less than a mile from the Town Center.
Voted top ten most beautiful hikes. We have hiked it a few times. Pack a lunch and eat it at the top! This "moderately challenging" 6.6 mile round trip hike slopes up moderately with an elevation gain of 1,500 feet giving views of Lone Peak along the way.
Great views on a quick 45-minute, 1.6 mile round trip hike. Meanders through the woods before turning back at the base of a 100-foot waterfall.
Yeehaw!
If you've never been, the sights you can see here are like nothing else. It's nice to say you got to see Old Faithful, but don't worry if you miss it. There are many other geysers in the park. Old Faithful is notable because its schedule is fairly predictable.
