Meet the key characters of our story!

Amara Schubert

Bride

Amara has always walked a path guided by curiosity, wonder, and wild magic. A lifelong seeker of truth and beauty, she is as enchanted by the mysteries of the inner world as she is by the call of distant lands. Whether deep in research, wandering forest trails, or wrapped in a cozy blanket beside a beloved furry companion, she is constantly exploring, learning, and growing. Her heart belongs to nature, where she often communes with the unseen and listens to the wisdom of wind and tree. A lover of animals, stories, and quiet reflection, she finds joy in both solitude and soulful conversation. Her passions span psychology, spirituality, travel, and the written word—all tools in her ever-growing quest for self-discovery and connection. By day, Amara works as a guide for children and families, helping them understand and channel their unique gifts. With compassion and insight, she supports others on their journeys, just as she continues her own. Now, with her beloved by her side, she embarks on a new adventure—one of shared wonder, laughter, and love. Their journey together is not only a union of hearts, but a merging of paths toward a life of magic, meaning, and joy. Ever the dreamer, healer, and wild soul, Amara steps into this new chapter ready to create something beautiful—together.

Brock Odle

Groom

From his earliest days, Brock’s world was one of closeness, curiosity, and imagination. Raised within a warm and loving family, he discovered his passion for technology as a young adventurer—tinkering with computers, mastering games, and exploring digital realms where anything was possible. It was in these formative quests that his love for all things game-related began to bloom. In the days of scrolls and lockers (also known as high school), Brock’s story took a fateful turn when he met Amara—his future quest partner and truest companion. A champion of the water, Brock also made a splash as a dedicated swimmer and member of the water polo team, blending strength, strategy, and teamwork. Now a skilled programmer by trade, Brock continues to craft and code with both precision and playfulness. Ever the creative force, he’s known for summoning joy wherever he goes, often drawing friends together into epic tabletop sagas, digital battles, or lighthearted quests of laughter and camaraderie. With the heart of a dreamer and the spirit of a storyteller, Brock builds worlds where magic and meaning intertwine. As he enters this next grand chapter beside Amara, his mission remains clear: to create, to explore, and to never stop playing—together.

Anne Schubert-Reyes

Officiant/Mother of the Bride

As one of seven children born to two devout musicians, spirituality and creativity were ever-present in Anne's life. Agile in body and mind, she found a love of dance early in life and briefly pursued performing arts before eventually finding a career in environmental studies. She spent many years ensuring the protection of local water sources in the hills of Simi Valley. After retiring from this, she turned inward to her spiritual life and became an ordained minister. She now dedicates her time to her spiritual life, studying scriptures, practicing meditation, and creating spiritual talismans in her spare time.

Susan Harp

Mother of the Groom

Susan finds comfort and companionship amongst the Fae and Merfolk, so much so that it is rumored she is one herself! A gentle, loving, and bubbly soul, she makes her home by the sea not far from Ojai's misty mountains. Susan's gardening skills are extraordinary, evidenced by the oversized vegetables that grow on her land. She is also a fine craftswoman, creating everything from portraits to blankets, to homes for her fairy friends.

Harold Reyes

Papa of the Bride

Harold Reyes was born and raised in the huge East Coast Metropolis of New York, where he became well-versed in the arts of street smarts and wise-crackin'. As a young man, he set his sights on the West, and undertook a cross-country venture, meeting characters and friends along the way. Eventually, he settled into Ojai, where he made a name for himself amongst the locals. Known for his emphatic story-telling and burly personality, he quickly earned the moniker "Sir Bear." Now, he spends much of his time engaged in peaceful pursuits, such as perfecting his painting technique and hibernating.

Steve Odle

Father of the Groom

Steve and his siblings were the first generation of Odles to be born and raised in Ojai. As the middle child, he found himself surrounded by the love of his family. A man of the land, his fondness for nature was instilled at an early age, and remains to this day. He found success in many pursuits, eventually running the local market. After his children had grown, he was led to the Wild West of the nation. Here, he has established a home with his wife and Brock’s Stepmother Kimberly, where he perfects his skills in hunting and barbeque.

Genevieve Natarajan

Maid of Honor

In the sun-dappled valleys of Ojai, California, where ancient oaks whisper secrets to the wind, Genevieve Wood Natarajan first drew breath beneath a crescent moon. Blessed with an uncanny affinity for both the natural and mystical realms, Genevieve spent her formative years wandering the Topatopa Mountains, collecting herbs and communing with the spirits of the land. Her journey led her across the vast ocean to the enchanted Alps of Switzerland, where she now dwells among glacial lakes and towering peaks that remind her of the magical geography of her youth. The Old World embraced her talents, particularly her gift for brewing potions of exceptional potency and translating forgotten texts written in languages lost to time. Local villagers speak in hushed tones of her cozy alpine cottage, with its ever-smoking chimney and garden of plants that bloom regardless of season. When the mountain mists thicken and the moon hangs full and bright, some claim to see her silhouette dancing alone on distant peaks, her laughter carried by the wind like the tinkling of silver bells.

Willoughby Cossairt

Best Man

Willoughby hails from the rural foothills of Upper Ojai, the Second Son of a tiny Dwarven clan claiming Heritage of both Mountain and Forest. As a youngling, he often found himself alone, reveling in the Wild Magic of the nature around him. Despite his loving family, they were few in number, and he always yearned for a larger clan. One year, he decided to embark on a quest of knowledge to the nearby College of Lore in Santa Barbara. On the carriage ride there he encountered a young, convivial gentleman by the name of Brock. A year of camaraderie and Carriage Karaoke and they would become the best of friends. Brock would ultimately introduce him to myriads of Fables, story-telling, games of skill, and illusory magic, thus changing his life forever. That same year, Brock would introduce Willoughby to his wonderful paramour Amara with whom he shared a common College thread of Psychology. Throughout the fifteen plus years the three of them would go on numerous adventures together, often led by Brock’s adventurous spirit. Eventually, Willoughby met Brock’s whole family who— to his delighted surprise— would essentially adopt him as one of their own. And just like that Willoughby gained the large family he had always wished for. It was even through them that he would meet his own wife to be. An aspiring story-teller himself, he hopes that he, Amara, and Brock will continue to tell tales for the remainder of their lives

Natalie Salvo

Bridesmaid

In the realm of youth, where the days stretched long and the halls of learning echoed with laughter and longing, two kindred souls crossed paths beneath the vaulted ceilings of their high school. Natalie and Amara—young, bright, and full of fire—met not by mere chance, but by some quiet design of fate. From their first meeting, a bond was forged, swift and sure, as if their spirits had recognized each other from another life. It was through Natalie, ever the weaver of connections, that Amara’s path intertwined with that of Brock—a meeting that would shape the course of many tales to come. Natalie herself was a creature of rare talent, her hands gifted with the art of creation. With brush and ink, she could summon worlds, breathe life into canvas, and capture the soul of things unseen. But more than her skill was her loyalty, steadfast as the northern star, unwavering in both calm and storm. By her side stood Donovan, her partner in all things—equally bold, equally wild-hearted. Together, Natalie and Donovan blazed trails just as daring and strange as those Brock and Amara would chart. This, perhaps, was no coincidence, for all four bore the mark of the Archer. Sagittarians, every one of them, their hearts beat to the rhythm of adventure, their spirits ever drawn to the horizon and the thrill of the unknown. In friendship, in love, and in quest—they journeyed. And their saga was only just beginning.

Mitchell Hennessy

Groomsman

Mitchell and Brock were such close cousins, they were often mistaken as brothers in their young age. Brock's admiration for his cousin was evident immediately, and they would regularly go on adventures together. Though Mitchell would eventually leave his home town of Ventura--the neighbor of the Ojai Valley--for the high seas, their bond remained strong. When Mitchell returns to land from his seafaring, the two make time to meet and go on more adventures yet.

Sir Arthur

Familiar

When Amara and Brock sought out to establish a home together, they both felt a strong pull to add an animal companion to it. Immediately upon moving in to their new dwelling, they sought out on this quest. They traveled into the nearby hills, where they happened upon a small black dog. The couple was taken by his sweet, calm temperament. They learned that he had escaped a perilous land. They immediately took him in, and gave him the namesake shared by several of their admired heroes: Arthur. Since then, Arthur has been a calming, loyal presence in their home.

Sir Robin

Familiar

Arthur proved to be a welcome addition to the home of the adventurers, and their hearts could not possibly be any fuller...or so they thought. Although the three were indeed happy, there was a feeling that something may be missing. So, as was the tradition, they returned to the hills. There, they were introduced to a feisty young pup. On the day of their meeting, his story was told. Not only had he escaped his own danger (much like Arthur had years prior), he had also been separated from his mother that very day. When they allowed Arthur to interact freely with the pup, they saw his prickly exterior quickly melt. It seemed he needed them as much as they needed him. He was given the name Robin, faithful sidekick of legend. Since then, he has lived up to his namesake, and can reliably be found as close to Arthur, Amara, or Brock as possible.
