FAQs

Question

Do I need to RSVP for the hotel shuttle?

Answer

Yes, please! Due to the large amount of out-of-town guests attending, the number of seats are limited. Sadly, those who RSVP later may not have an available seat. We apologize for the inconvenience and are so appreciative of all of our traveling guests!

Question

Will there be parking for guests who are driving?

Answer

Yes! Someone will direct you to a parking spot upon arrival.

Question

What kind of shoes are appropriate for the wedding?

Answer

Most of the ceremony and reception will take place in grass and on small gravel both outside and in a barn. For ladies, I would recommend flats, wedges, or chunky heels. Stilettos may cause you to have an unpleasant evening!

Question

Is it an open bar?

Answer

Absolutely. There will be enough beer and wine to last the evening. There will be also be liquor provided for cocktail hour following the ceremony, however, it may not last the entire evening. As this is a farm wedding, please feel free to bring your own flask...etc. if you feel so inclined. :) Water and soda will also be provided for guests throughout the night.

Question

What time does the shuttle leave for the hotel?

Answer

There is only 1 shuttle that will leave in 3 shifts: 1) 11:00pm 2) 12:00 am 3) 1:00 am When you arrive, someone will greet guests using the shuttle to mark the time you would like to leave that night to avoid cramming 40 people into the last call shuttle and/or having people sleep in the barn. ;)

Question

What time does the shuttle leave the hotel for the ceremony?

Answer

Multiple vehicles will shuttle guests who reserved a seat to Hager Farms for the ceremony departing the hotel between 2:45pm and 3:45 pm. Drivers will have a list of the shuttle guests’ names and phone numbers to help ensure no one is forgotten.

Question

I missed the ceremony shuttle. How do I get there?

Answer

From the hotel: -Turn left and merge left onto US-35 W -Continue on 35 W for approximately 13 miles -Take the Rio Grande/Bob Evans Farms/Bidwell exit and turn left onto OH-325 S -Continue on OH-325 S for approximately 3 miles (Head straight through the blinking stop light and through the Rio Grande University Campus) -Turn left onto Cora Mill Rd. (Bottom of second big hill past Rio Archery. There is a small store/farm at the corner of Cora Mill Rd and US-325 S.) -In approximately 1.5 miles of winding road, turn left onto Creekview Dr. (a gravel road directly following the left 90 degree turn with a creek on the right side) -In about 1 mile you will pass the brick Hager house on the hill to your right. Keep driving past the pasture until you reach the 2nd barn on the right. You will be directed to park. You made it!

Question

Where is the hotel?

Answer

Hampton Inn 444 Upper River Rd. Gallipolis, OH 45631

Question

What is the block rate for the hotel?

Answer

Hampton Inn Hager/Goodrich wedding block 740-446-8000 Block rate = $110 if reserved by 9/15/18

Question

Where is the couple registered?

Answer

We aren’t! We did not register for gifts and the bride will not be having a bridal shower. If you would like to give a gift, please consider donating to our honeymoon fund to Jamaica! This can be done on this website under our Honeymoon Fund tab.

Question

What happens if it rains?

Answer

The location will not change as the reception is in a covered area and barn.

Question

What food will be provided?

Answer

Hors d’oeuvres will be served during cocktail hour. Dinner will consist of slow-roasted beef (this is a beef cattle farm after all!), a large baked potato with toppings, green beans, and a dinner roll with butter. Of course there will also be cake! A big apology to those guests with dietary restrictions that may limit this meal.
