The "M" Trail: You can't miss it & everyone's doing it! The "M" trail hike was one of our first hike's in Missoula back in 2011. It's a steep, 3/4 mile hike from the base of Mount Sentinel. Park at the University & follow the switchbacks up to the HUGE cement "M" and incredible views of Missoula. Blue Mountain Recreation Area: If you love dogs and wanderlust, this is the place for you. Lots of trail loops and beautiful views of the Missoula valley. Watch out for doggie doo-doos! Greenough Park: Easy trail system through a lush forest right near downtown, but away from the city sounds. Walk the wide, open path, or sneak through the fairy filled paths down to the river. Exellent for rock skipping when the waters right. Be bear aware, here! Black bears frequent this park. Riverfront Trail: Staying downtown? Pop on the riverfront trail to walk along the beautiful Clark Fork River. Watch out for big birds like osprey and bald (or golden) eagles - you might even see a river otter!
