We are thrilled to welcome you all to the ICA for our wedding, but the exhibits will be closed once our wedding begins. So if you have time during the week to visit we highly recommend the modern art displays and work of emerging artists.
As lovers of all things outdoors, you will find us indulging in the many outdoor activities Boston offers in an urban space. You can rent paddle boards and kayaks and take them along the Charles to experience the city skyline from the water.
Although Amanda hasn't been on one since an elementary school field trip and Dion says "I've been on one, its fine, just a slight risk of death from poor engineering" this is a classic Boston activity! This is a great option if you don't want to Kayak yourself around the river, but still want to experience the city from the water.
If you are interested in seeing more parts of the city, the Boston Public garden will be filled with flowers and people enjoying the green space in the city. You can take out a peddle swan boat around the pond, and then walk from the garden to Newbury street where you can enjoy shopping and great places to eat. (This is also where engagement photos were taken!)
Although the wedding is in "Boston" Amanda & Dion have spent most of their relationship living in the Camberville (Cambridge + Somerville) area. If you want to spend a day like they would a "lazy Sunday" we recommend the following. Start out with raisin toast from Maine based baker "When pigs Fly" and add some peanut butter and raspberries. Pro tip, this should be consumed while listening to Australia's Brekkie Time playlist on Spotify. Next find something active to do like Biking to Mystic Valley pond or walking to Harvard square for a farmers market. Next grab lunch at Tatte, Flour, or La Saison (a little off the beaten path but worth it!) After lunch you will be refueled and ready to hit the course at Fresh Pond in Cambridge a public 9 hole course, and if you can't get a tee time, you can always play tennis at the public courts or walk around Fresh Pond's 3 mile walking trail. Finally, you can end your day at one of the many Porter or Davis square restaurants for dinner & drinks.
