Charlotte Douglas International Airport

The Charlotte airport is technically the closet airport to us, approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes away. There is a shuttle service called Hickory Hops that can pick you up from Charlotte and bring you to Hickory, and then take you back to airport once you leave if not interested in car rental. The cost of Hickory Hops is $90 round-trip for one person, additional family members $45 each round trip.

Asheville Regional Airport

The next closest airport is the Asheville Regional Airport, approximately 1 hour 30-40 minutes away. For my NY, NJ, CO friends and family you may be able to find a good deal flying in through this airport! Asheville is also one of my favorite places in NC, so if you fly in a few extra days highly recommend exploring here.
