One of Santi and I's favorite restaurants in Hickory. Delicious authentic Mexican food. Order the large Mango margarita!
Blue Ridge Parkway
Fall is the absolute BEST time of the year to drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway. If you are from out of town- this is a must! Rough Ridge is an easy hike for beginners. Flat Top Tower is slightly more challenging but closer.

Blowing Rock or Asheville
Blowing Rock is only about 1 hour from Hickory, and Asheville approximately 1.5 hours. Both of these towns are magical this time of the year. Two of my favorite spots in NC!
Bakers Mountain Park
Cute Hiking spot in Hickory. Don't let this hike being in Hickory fool you- it gets a little intense if you head to the viewpoint. Look up intensity if you are not typically active.
City Walk Brewery and/or No Entry Cocktail Bar
A Neat brewery with outdoor seating and a nice "speak-easy" style bar next door.
