How It All Started

Fore-ever & Ever

Quinn was a Bag Boy at Bidermann, Amanda- the Assistant Clubhouse Manager. Amanda always knew Quinn as the silly boy on the golf cart that was always good for a laugh on her way down to the Farmhouse or if she was lucky, a ride up to her car at the end of a long day. Amanda told Quinn that she'd hire him as a bartender at Vicmead when he turned 21. With that, she brought him to the dark side- Food & Beverage. Although he drove her crazy and keeping him off his phone was almost impossible, his sense of humor kept her laughing and made working together a lot of fun. The two of them started hanging out after work every night and the rest is history. They've been inseparable ever since.

Saying Yes in Paradise

April 7, 2021

After weeks of convincing Quinn to take a vacation, we flew into Ft. Lauderdale on April 5th. In true Amanda style, I puked for the first 20 hours of our vacation. I thought Quinn was going to leave me in Key West and I'd never see him again. But he put up with me and two days later, we rode our bikes to Fort Zach State Park to watch the sunset together. We grabbed a spot on the rocks by the water and waited for the sunset. Quinn suggested we get a family to take our picture before the sun was gone, to which I replied, "they look weird." I could tell he was frustrated. Looking back, I think I knew what was about to happen and was internally freaking out. He said again that he wanted a picture and said it didn't matter how weird they were- they were just taking our picture. We stood on the rocks and smiled for Hunter, as Quinn got down on one knee. Obviously, I said yes. And as Quinn began to stand up, he started to fall off the rock as he picked me up, almost taking us both down. We've got two videos from two different angles, because Hunter's family was not weird, they were fantastic! And all five of them were taking pictures or videos. When Quinn originally approached Hunter, he gave him a $20 bill with a note that said I'm about to propose, please take a ton of pictures. Hunter never read the note, and instead took a video. Thank goodness for the rest of the family. As we left the sunset that evening, the family continued to congratulate us as the father said, "yeah, my Hunter, he's not the brightest ". Luckily for us, he was the brightest star on our most memorable day.
