Patrick And I met at Featherbed Lane Day Camp in 2012, when we were both 16 years old. It was my first Summer working there, while Patrick had practically been working there since birth. I quickly met "Biggie" and we had the same group of friends (the FBL OGs) for many Summers after. Fast forward to the Summer of 2018 camp dinner. By then, we were both 22 and as Gina always says, "I don't care what you're drinking as long as I don't see it." One thing led to another and our good friend, Desi (now our officiant) hooked us up. As much as I tried to stay away from Patrick, he kept showing up at my apartment....and I was probably the one who invited him. To this day, we still argue about what our first date was because, "I just wanted to be friends." On December 22, 2018, Patrick asked me to be his girlfriend. One week later, I went with him to the Poconos to meet all of his Colonia friends, who have been a tight knit group since high school. While it was extremely intimidating at the time, many of those people have become my best friends and now I get to marry the guy that they have always been rooting for. As time went on, one of our favorite things to do was find cool AirBnBs in the middle of the woods and escape reality for a few days. In March of 2022, I found the coolest Tiny Home and booked us a trip for a long weekend. If you're a teacher, you know that there are usually no days off in March, so we needed a little getaway. Little did I know, I was actually planning my engagement. While I had been waiting for this engagement for months, I never thought he would do it while we were away. I was completely surprised....I didn't even do my hair and was not a fan of my outfit. However, it was the best moment of my life. I did start to realize about 10 minutes prior, though, because if you know anything about Patrick, you know it's obvious when he's nervous and there was no need to be nervous about going to dinner. He made everything so extremely special and even managed to film the entire thing. Patrick, I cannot wait to stand with you in front of our closest family and friends and marry you. You are my best friend and I truly don't know what I'd do without you. I love you forever!
