This love story, like all great love stories, begins with Pitt Band. Mark was on the drumline and Amanda was a Golden Girl. After a few years of marching together, they finally got to know each other. When baking for a party, Mark said that he'd never eaten raw cookie dough and Amanda knew she needed to change that. They began to play volleyball together, try new restaurants, and finally decided to start dating right before the COVID-19 pandemic began. Mark graduated from Pitt and as the world began to open back up, Amanda began her senior year at Duquesne. The two made many memories, exploring the city of Pittsburgh and trying new things. Amanda moved back home after graduation and shortly after, Mark's company assigned him to Sharon, PA for a project. They enjoyed living in close proximity again. They spent their days kayaking, golfing, and eating lots of ice cream until Amanda moved to Savannah, GA for PA school. As they always say, distance makes the heart grow fonder. They supported each other from afar as Mark thrived in his civil engineering job in Pittsburgh and Amanda worked for her dream career. Mark visited her in Savannah when he could, spending their days at the beach, on the riverwalk, and exploring the city with new friends. Upon graduation, they planned a group trip, or so Amanda thought. Mark actually planned the first half of the trip only for the two of them. He took Amanda on a beautiful fireworks cruise where he popped the question! Since then, they are continuing in their Happily Ever After and cannot wait to celebrate their marriage with all of you!
