FAQs

The What, Where, When & Wait—What? Got questions? We’ve got (most of) the answers. From where to stay, what to pack, how to get to the middle of Colorado, what the weather’s like, or whether your dog can come (short answer: maybe?) — this is your go-to spot for all the slightly important and probably helpful info. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, feel free to text us, call us, or send a carrier pigeon directly to Glenwood Springs. We’ll do our best.
Question

What to know about Colorado

Answer

Yes, it’s at elevation. Yes, you’ll feel it. Yes, you need to drink way more water than you think — start hydrating the minute your plane lands and don’t stop until you're back at sea level. Also: sunscreen is your bestie. Being a mile closer to the sun does mean a mile closer to looking like a rotisserie chicken. Apply early, apply often, and don’t be crispy in the photos. Upside? Colorado doesn’t really do bugs. So if you're from the East Coast — congrats, you can stand outside without being eaten alive. That said, our weather is unhinged. Pack for a lake day and a hailstorm — because both might happen in the same afternoon. Bring layers. We’re talking jackets, sweatshirts, shorts, sunglasses, maybe even a scarf. No, we’re not kidding. Yes, we’ve lived here a while. Anywhooo… can’t wait to see you.

Question

When booking my accommodation, do I give them a code?

Answer

Yes! Please tell them when you book it is for the “Villani” wedding to ensure you will be placed in the correct location and billed accordingly. Also calling them is easier than trying to book online.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

To keep the weekend safe and fun for everyone, we kindly ask that you leave little ones at home. Our venue is beautiful—but it’s near a river and up a number of stairs. If you need to bring kids, we totally understand—please plan for them to be with a supervising guardian and away from the main areas by 7:00 PM on Saturday so the evening can unfold stress-free. We’d love to skip any impromptu river rescues or fire-pit gymnastics, thanks for understanding!

Question

Do I have to stay at the campground or can I stay at a hotel nearby?

Answer

Not at all! (though we would be sad to not have you around) Glenwood Springs is just 5 minutes down the road and has plenty of other accommodation options available

Question

What type of "Camping" are we talking about?

Answer

All types! Glenwood resort has literally any option you want, from full mini homes with kitchens and AC, to a plot of dirt next to a beautiful river, we encourage you to visit their website and pick whatever type suites you best.

Question

What’s the best way to get there?

Answer

Rent a car – It’s about a 3-hour drive from Denver International Airport (DIA) to Glenwood Springs. Carpooling with friends = highly encouraged (and way more fun). Take the shuttle – We’ll be organizing a group shuttle from DIA to the venue. RSVP to the wedding and let us know if you are interested in the shuttle so we can reserve your spot and we can plan accordingly — then book your flight based on that timing.

Question

Can I bring my doggo?

Answer

Maybe... only some rooms are dog-friendly, and it's first come, first served — because the brides’ dogs will be attending, and yes, that means you might have a very cute bunkmate. If you’re staying in a tent or RV, well-behaved, friendly pups are more than welcome! If you’re in a cabin, check with the resort and please reach out to the brides ASAP if your dog absolutely must attend. Anna — your dog is still not invited...

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

More booties over heels — it’s the mountains, there are stairs, there’s dirt. Be comfy, be cozy, and pack layers. During the day, you’re basically on the sun and you’ll feel it. Once it sets, the mountain chill kicks in fast. Think: practical meets party. Wear what makes you feel good, can handle a little nature, and still looks great when someone inevitably pulls out a camera.
