Flight

PDX or Eugene

If you are wanting the least amount of travel time, I would recommend flying in. It is about a 2 hour flight from California and there are two Airports you can fly in to, either PDX(Portland Airport) or Eugene(EUG). Portland is about an hour and 45min drive from Corvallis, but is a great place to fly into if you want to take some time to explore the city and get good food while you're here! Eugene is a shorter drive, about an hour from Corvallis and there are still some good food options in the area.

Train

If you are wanting a cheaper and more scenic option, there is a train station located in the city of Albany, just a 20min drive to Corvallis. The train station is called Albany Station, and is served by Amtrak trains.

Travel Note

Driving

This is also a cheaper and more scenic option that you could even integrate into your trip here! While it does take quite a bit longer(about 14 hours), it can be a fun and beautiful drive! Driving from California, I would recommend taking the route along the coast rather than just straight through via the usual I-5. It adds a little bit of time to the drive but the views and stops along the way are very much worth it!
