Dress Code

The Wedding Website of Amanda Waldron and Helena Shaer
We ask that you stick to cocktail attire, which means a semi-formal balance of elegant and comfortable. It's dressier than smart casual but less formal than black tie. This means styles like cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits, dark jackets, and slacks. Some Options: Wear a dark suit in navy, charcoal, or black with a dress shirt, tie, and polished leather shoes. You can also wear a blazer instead of a suit jacket, or mix up a business suit by wearing a rollneck or knitted polo instead of a tie. Wear a knee-length or midi dress in a refined fabric like silk, chiffon, or satin. You can also wear a pantsuit or separates like a blouse and skirt or tailored pants. Accessorize with statement jewelry and heels, or an elegant crossbody bag or clutch. To Avoid: Casual fabrics like cotton, linen, or spandex, as well as jeans, t-shirts, sneakers, athletic wear, "loud" patterns and prints, excessive jewelry, revealing attire, heavy makeup, and over-the-top gowns or tuxedos.
