Shuttle to Villa Alta

Villa Alta provides a paid shuttle service that can pick you up from Florence or Pisa to take you to the villa. The shuttle services from Pisa to Villa Alta will be provided. Train

Travel from Florence Airport to Pisa

From Florence airport, you can take a taxi or the tram (tramvia or T2), both can be accessed right outside the airport, that will take you to Santa Maria Novella train station. Here you can take a train to Pisa Centrale Station, where the shuttle can pick you up and take you to the villa. Taking the tram (Line T2) you will get off at the Alamanni – Stazione SMN stop, and walk into the train station where you can board a train to Pisa. Trenitalia and Italiarail are the two most popular and reliable railways with high-speed and regional trains from Florence to Pisa.

This is where we will be hosting our welcome dinner and ceremony. We will be hosting most of you from September 1st to 4th at Villa Alta in Tuscany. We have informed who will be staying at Borgo Studianti.

We have notified who will be staying at Borgo Studianti. A shuttle will be provided to/from Borgo Studianti to Villa Alta for the welcome dinner and wedding. Guests of Borgo Studianti may also access amenities (pool, etc) at Villa Alta.

Travel Note

Cab/Uber Information

There will be limited/no access to cabs and Ubers while at the villas. Villa Alta provides paid shuttle services that can be booked at least one week in advance, regardless of where you stay. You may also rent a car, both villas have parking available. At Villa Alta the parking is more limited. Be sure to get an international drivers license before you depart the US (you can get one at AAA). Also be aware of Italian driving rules and restricted zones called ZTLs. Areas like the historic center in Florence and Pisa require special premissions to drive in that could result in heavy fines if you enter a ZTL.
