While Davis and Amanda met in New York, Davis' career took him to Virginia Beach. Davis commissioned into the Navy with his first orders to Virginia Beach aboard the USS Truxtun. Amanda started her career as a nurse in NY. Being a nurse allowed Amanda flexibility to work anywhere in the US. So, after nearly 2 years of a long distance relationship, Davis and Amanda decided to be closer to one another and live in Virginia Beach. Davis is now an Active Duty Navy Lieutenant, and Amanda has continued to work as an RN. While living in Virginia Beach, Davis and Amanda explored all there is to do! Time after time, they always ended up at the Cavalier to have a drink or some appetizers, just enjoying the ambiance and views. After getting engaged, they knew right away where they wanted to celebrate this special day.
Davis and Amanda were very fortunate to travel to Germany to visit Breanna and David for Christmas in 2024! There, David and Breanna took them to Prague, Austria, and Garmisch -Germany! In Garmisch, David and Breanna found a quaint little spot, right in front of the tallest mountain peak in Germany, Zugspitze mountain, where Davis and Amanda took these beautiful pictures. To add to such a special occasion, David and Breanna took these photos themselves of Davis and Amanda! David has incredible photography skills, and with the help of Breanna's attention to detail, together they created a magical trip and experience that Davis and Amanda will cherish forever.
While Amanda told Davis some basic style information such as liking gold, and oval shapes, Davis designed her engagement ring himself! With the help of a Rhode Island Jeweler, Davis created a unique style that only Amanda is currently wearing! Davis made the oval stone the center, with 3 circle stones on each side, creating a timeless, unrivaled engagement ring.
Davis's naval career has taken him and Amanda all over, from Virginia Beach, to Newport, Rhode Island, all the way to Oahu, Hawaii! Amanda has maintained her nursing career whilst traveling the world with Davis by her side. Though they have endured two very arduous deployments, love has endured all things. Amanda even got the opportunity to visit Davis during a port visit in Toulon, France! They are now preparing to settle down in Virginia Beach.
