Things To Do

Whether you're here to relax, explore, or soak up the vibrant culture, Miami has something for everyone. Here's a list of His and Her recommendations from Brian and Amanda

Cafe La Trova

971 Southwest 8th Street, Miami, FL 33130

Café La Trova in Little Havana, Miami, is a spirited tribute to Cuban hospitality that blends craft cocktails, lively music, and elevated Latin‑inspired cuisine. Brian and I went here one night with my family for late-night dancing and drinks—it was his first time out in Miami experiencing the Latin culture. A perfect intro to Miami nightlife!

Old's Havana Cuban Bar & Cocina

1442 Southwest 8th Street, Miami, FL 33135

Old’s Havana Cuban Bar & Cocina brings vintage Havana to life with its colorful decor, lively music, and classic Cuban dishes. Set in the heart of Little Havana, it’s a cozy, vibrant spot perfect for sipping mojitos and soaking up the local culture. Brian loves coming here and ordering a Cuban sandwich with a Cuba Libre (rum and coke). No trip to Miami feels complete without stopping here for his must-have Cuban sandwich. It never disappoints.

Rusty Pelican Restaurant

3201 Rickenbacker Cwy, Key Biscayne, FL 33149

The Rusty Pelican is a classic Miami spot and one of our favorite waterfront restaurants. There's nothing better than enjoying lunch here on a sunny day—sitting by the water, sipping a drink, and sharing some fresh ceviche. It’s the perfect way to take in the Miami vibe.

Wynwood Walls

2516 Northwest 2nd Avenue, Miami, FL 33127

Wynwood Walls is one of Miami’s most vibrant and iconic neighborhoods, known for its colorful street art, trendy restaurants, lively bars, and creative energy. It’s the heart of the city’s arts district and home to massive murals by world-renowned artists. Amanda spent many weekends here with friends—exploring new restaurants, dancing the night away, and soaking up the culture during the annual Art Basel festival. If you're looking for a fun, artsy spot to experience the local vibe, Wynwood is a must-see!

Key Biscayne Island

Key Biscayne, FL 33149

Key Biscayne is a charming island just off Miami, known for its laid-back vibe, natural beauty, and quiet beaches. It’s home to Crandon Park—Amanda’s favorite beach—and “El Farito,” the iconic lighthouse where she and her family spent summer weekends. Amanda also worked for two years as a lifeguard at the local Community Center pool, making the island especially meaningful to her. With its small-town feel and scenic spots, Key Biscayne is a hidden gem worth exploring.
