Answer

The wedding will take place on May 9, 2026 and the ceremony will begin at 4 p.m. Complimentary shuttles will depart the hotel at 2:30 p.m. to allow guests time to explore the Washington National Cathedral prior to the ceremony.

Do you have any hotel suggestions?

Answer

Yes, we have a hotel room block at the Bethesda Marriott in Bethesda, MD. This is the same location where the reception will be held. We have secured a group room rate of $138 per night for a standard two queen or one king bed room, plus tax. We also have a discount on parking, which will be half price for guests staying at the hotel. The room block is available for booking and there are enough rooms for anyone who would like to use it. The deadline to reserve under the room block is April 8, 2026. For more information and to book, click on the "Travel" section on the top of this website.

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Yes, we will be providing complimentary transportation to and from the Bethesda Marriott to the Washington National Cathedral for the ceremony. This is available for ALL guests (regardless of whether you are staying at the hotel) who would like to use this service. Parking at the Bethesda Marriott is complimentary on the day of the wedding so there will be no charge unless you choose to leave your car overnight. (Note: If you choose to drive to the Washington National Cathedral, there will likely be a fee for parking.) Shuttles will be at the hotel at 2:15 p.m. and will depart at 2:30 p.m. to allow you time to explore the Cathedral prior to the ceremony. Shuttles will leave promptly after the ceremony. If you miss the shuttle either way, Uber's/ride share options are readily available in both locations.

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail attire: We suggest men wear a suit or dress shirt with a tie and women wear a mid or knee-length dress or dressy separates.

What is the welcome reception?

Answer

As a way to spend more time with our guests, we are hosting a welcome party with food and drinks. This is in lieu of a formal rehearsal dinner and is a great way for our guests to get to know each other. You can stop by anytime between 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. The event is open to all of our guests, regardless of whether you are traveling from out of town or live in the area. Kindly RSVP so we can get an appropriate head count for the food and drinks. You can provide your RSVP to the event when RSVPing to the wedding, To RSVP for this event, along with the wedding, please click on the "RSVP" section on the top of this website. While we would love to see you before the big day, if you'd prefer to explore or rest, we completely understand and will see you at the ceremony.

What is the Farewell Mother’s Day Breakfast?

Answer

We appreciate everyone traveling so far and making the effort to celebrate our special day with us. We will be providing breakfast at the hotel as a way to extend our appreciation. This is a casual, “drop in” style event and the hours are from 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Breakfast will include a hot buffet. The Farewell Mother's Day Breakfast is optional and open to all our guests. Please RSVP so we can get an appropriate head count for the food. You can provide your RSVP to the event when RSVPing to the wedding on this website. To RSVP, click on the "RSVP" section on the top of this website. As it is Mother’s Day and people may have alternative plans, we completely understand if you are unable to attend and can say goodbye to you the night before.
