FAQs

If you have any other questions other than those listed here, please reach out to Amanda/Nathan (amanda.nathan2025@gmail.com).
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

RSVPs should be completed by scanning the QR code by March 15th, 2025, as we need to submit the final count to our catering team. We will reach out once as a reminder for all guests. We look forward to celebrating with you!

Question

Can I bring a date/plus one?

Answer

While we'd love to celebrate with everyone, we wanted to keep this event as intimate as possible. To ensure we can accommodate everyone comfortably, we kindly ask that only the individuals named on your invitation RSVP and attend. If anyone listed on the invitation is unable to join, we request that you do not bring a different guest in their place. Thank you for your understanding, and we can’t wait to share this joyous occasion with you!

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes, guests will need to RSVP for each event during their RSVP process: Friday, May 16th: There will be no events on this day as guests are arriving onsite. Get settled and make yourself comfortable. The wedding party will be busy with decorating and rehearsal. Saturday, May 17th: The ceremony will begin at 3 PM, followed by a cocktail hour and a reception. - *Sunday, May 18th: A brunch and French-style BBQ. We'll set up some lawn games and activities, but everyone is free to do as they please. Guests can use the pool, explore the property, or visit the nearby town. - Monday, May 19th: All guests must depart by 4 PM. A bus will take all guests back to Gare de Bordeaux Saint Jean at 11 AM. *You are free to depart following the reception on 5/17.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We ask our guests to wear semi-formal/formal attire for the reception: a full suit or tux for men, a shin/ankle-length gown, a fancy cocktail dress, or a dressy pantsuit for women. If any ladies would like to change their attire from ceremony to reception, the ceremony attire should be cocktail/semi-formal. Please no solid white or neon colors. FYI: the wedding party color is a light dusty blue. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Amanda/Nathan (amanda.nathan2025@gmail.com).

Question

Is it okay to take photos/videos with my phone/camera during the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that you be fully present during our ceremony and respectfully put away all phones and personal cameras. We will have a professional photographer capture our day and share those photos with you once we receive them to do with as you please. The photographer has our permission to request that guests put their device(s) away during the ceremony to get the needed shot(s). Go crazy with the cocktail hour and reception!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please be ready no later than 3:45 PM to get settled in for a 4 PM ceremony start time. It should be a quick, under 30-minute ceremony. Hope to see you all there!

Question

When should I arrive in France/Europe?

Answer

We recommend guests arrive in the timezone 2-4 days before the event, as jet lag can impact each person differently. This gives you time to accommodate the time change so we can celebrate with you all weekend!

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Your invitations include the children who are welcome. We ask that they be supervised during all events/activities, as the property is someone's home and should be respected.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes. Please reach out directly to Amanda/Nathan at amanda.nathan2025@gmail.com as soon as possible.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift, but if you wish to contribute in another way, you can check out the 'Registry' tab at the top of the page.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be held outdoors. The party will be moved indoors by 11 PM (weather permitting). Heel caps will be provided for those who choose to wear thin-heeled shoes.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes. Please see the 'Travel/Accommodations' tab.

Question

I missed the bus, what should I do?

Answer

If you missed the charter bus from Bordeaux to the venue, your fastest option would be to rent a vehicle unless you can find a taxi or Uber to take you there. You can do so at the Bordeaux airport.

Question

What does the schedule look like?

Answer

Friday, May 16, 2024: Bus from Gare de Bordeaux at 1 PM Saturday, May 17th, 2024: Wedding day Sunday, May 18th, 2024: Free day followed by French Style BBQ Monday, May 19th, 2024: Departure 11 AM via bus (if you're not taking the bus and don't need to leave for a flight, you're welcome to stay at the chateau until 4 PM)

Question

Will there be hot water available?

Answer

There will be water kettles, microwaves, and coffee machines on site.

Question

Will alcohol be served?

Answer

Yes. We'll be having a champagne toast, cocktail hour, and bar during the reception with table wine. The open bar will be limited to beer and any cocktails that use gin, rum, and tequila.
