Flight
This is the airport you will want to fly into. We recommend arriving Thursday, August 4th, 2022 as the wedding is the following day. We also suggest staying through the weekend to fully enjoy the all-inclusive resort. Jose and Amanda will be there Tuesday - Sunday.
Hotel
As of 12:01 AM ET on June 12, 2022, CDC will no longer require air passengers traveling from a foreign country to the United States to show a negative COVID-19 viral test or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 before they board their flight. All guests must stay at this hotel or pay $100 to enter the resort the day of the wedding. Guests are allowed to book rooms through third-party websites or directly through Riu's website. To book directly with the hotel, click on the "View" button below. If you are traveling from Texas, we recommend you check Southwest Airlines' vacation website (www.southwestvacations.com) for special deals for flights + hotels. It is very important to make a note of your reservation number because Amanda and Jose will eventually ask for this. Please note you can still RSVP without a reservation number (you can go back later and edit your details to include your hotel reservation number, but note up to 4 edits are allowed).
Travel Note
Shuttle: If you're not sure how to get from the airport to the hotel (and back to the airport), you can just get a shuttle once you've landed. Before you exit the airport, you will see plenty of options for transportation. Our recommendation is to schedule a two-way shuttle so that you have guaranteed transportation back to the airport before your departure flight. Worst-case scenario you ask someone in the hotel lobby to call a taxi for you. Uber / Lyft: Technically, Uber does not have a license to operate in Cabo San Lucas, but we know for sure it works. Keep in mind that it's common for hotels to restrict access so you might have to meet your driver at the entrance. Overall, it's best to use Uber to travel from the hotel to other parts that do not involve the airport. As far as Lyft goes, we don't believe it's available in the area. However, we've been to Cabo San Lucas before and never had issues with transportation.
