The Wedding Website of Amalia Escobar Restrepo and Juan Gonzalo Jaramillo Mejía
If you're coming to Medellín for the wedding, we recommend staying in El Poblado, one of the city’s safest and most vibrant areas. It offers a great mix of comfort, walkability, and fun. Neighborhoods like Manila, Astorga, Lalinde, and Castropol are perfect for relaxing—and just minutes away from Provenza and Parque Lleras, where you’ll find Medellín’s best nightlife to keep the celebration going.

Travel Note

Manila

A perfect spot if you’re looking for a quiet neighborhood with close access to the city’s lively areas. Manila is full of trendy cafes, coworking spaces, and international restaurants. It's calm, walkable, and just a 5–10 minute walk from the vibrant Provenza and Parque Lleras nightlife. A great option for resting after a busy day or night out.

Travel Note

Astorga & Patio Bonito

Located in the lower part of El Poblado, these neighborhoods offer a mix of affordable hotels, cafes, and access to public transport (including the metro). A great balance for travelers looking for convenience without being in the heart of the party zone.

Travel Note

Castropol

Known for its peaceful vibe and stunning views, Castropol is filled with modern residential buildings and is close to malls and major roads. It’s ideal for those who value tranquility but still want to be near shops, cafes, and the action.

Travel Note

Lalinde

A family-friendly and comfortable area for longer stays. You’ll find well-equipped apartments and hotels, often with kitchens, gyms, or pools. It’s centrally located, safe, and close to many amenities.

Travel Note

Transversal Inferior & Transversal Superior

These two main roads run across El Poblado and connect neighborhoods like Manila, Lalinde, and Castropol. Staying along these roads makes it easy to move around, especially by car or ride-share.

Travel Note

Avenida El Poblado & El Tesoro

This main avenue runs through the heart of El Poblado and offers easy access to shopping malls, restaurants, and transport options. The area around El Tesoro Mall is more upscale, with great city views and high-end accommodation.

Travel Note

Provenza & Parque Lleras

Not family friendly, but if nightlife is a priority, Provenza and Parque Lleras are the hotspots in Medellín. You’ll find everything from salsa bars to upscale clubs, live music, and a vibrant crowd. Parque Lleras is more intense, with loud music and party vibes. Provenza offers a more stylish and eclectic atmosphere—great food, cocktails, and music, without being too overwhelming.
