What airport should I fly into?

Answer

The closest airports to Sorrento are either Naples (NAP), between 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes by car; or, Rome (FCO) between 3-4 hours by train and car transfers. Flying from either airport is approximately the same price and will both require additional travel to get to Sorrento either by Private Car, Train or Ferry! Return Flight Tip: If possible, we suggest booking your return flight with any layovers in Europe and making your first U.S. landing your final destination. U.S. customs takes place at the first point of entry into the United States, and navigating customs during a tight connection can be challenging. For guests traveling from Cleveland or Pittsburgh, you’ll often have the option to connect through Dublin, London, or Reykjavík, which we recommend.

When should I arrive to Sorrento?

Answer

We encourage all guests to arrive by Friday evening so you can join us for our welcome party. If you’re part of the bridal party, we kindly ask that you be in Sorrento by Thursday morning to participate in bachelor and bachelorette festivities. We will be hosting a few optional events throughout the wedding weekend. While we would love for you to join us, attendance is completely optional— the only event we expect all guests to attend is the wedding itself. If you plan to attend or skip any of the additional events, we simply ask that you let us know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If you were given a plus one, it will be clearly stated on your invitation. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Are children welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, due to venue guest count restrictions, our wedding and reception will be an adults-only celebration, with the exception of immediate family and the children in our bridal party. If we are able to accommodate additional guests later on, we may reach out to families with children closer to the wedding date. In the meantime, we encourage you to treat this as a couples getaway!

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Transportation will not be provided, as all wedding events are located in the city center of Sorrento and are within a short walking distance of one another. All recommended hotel accommodations are also within easy walking distance of the venue. Guests should not need to walk more than 5–10 minutes between events. For guests who prefer not to walk or would like to arrange a taxi, we will share the names of reputable local drivers closer to the wedding date.

Wedding day arrival time

Answer

Please plan to arrive at the venue by 3:50 PM to allow time to find your way to the ceremony location within the villa. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM.

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place outdoors, weather permitting. In the event of rain, arrangements will be made to move events indoors. We recommend dressing appropriately for warm weather.

Early September in Sorrento is typically warm and sunny, with daytime temperatures in the mid-80s°F and evenings in the mid-70s°F.

Venue accessibility information

Answer

The villa features uneven terrain and multiple staircases, which may be challenging for guests with mobility concerns, as well as elderly guests or young children. The villa has kindly offered to provide golf cart transportation between the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception areas for guests who may need assistance. If you would like to use the golf cart, please let us know by 7.4.27 so we can make arrangements.

You will have the option to note any dietary restrictions or allergies when you RSVP. If you do not see this option or prefer to communicate your needs directly, please reach out to us no later than 7.4.27 so we can accommodate you.

When is the rsvp deadline?

Answer

The RSVP deadline will be shared once invitations are sent. If we do not receive your RSVP by the deadline, we will assume you are unable to attend and look forward to celebrating with you another time in the States.

We will share contact information for a member of our bridal party and a representative from the venue closer to the wedding date.

Can we post on social media?

Answer

Yes! We’d love for you to share and celebrate with us—just please keep the following in mind: Out of respect for parents and children’s privacy, please do not post photos or videos featuring children from our wedding without first checking with the child’s parents or with the bride and groom. Please do not create or share any photos or videos that have been altered by AI. We want our wedding weekend to be remembered and shared exactly as it happened.
