We highly recommend using a guide to get you into the park as it is an extremely popular activity! There are restrictions as to how many guests are allowed in on any given day to help preserve the park. Having a guide helps to ensure you make it in before the cut off. We used Josue with Magic Nature Tours who was great! Feel free to reach out to him directly at the number above. We will likely try to plan a day to go with family and friends. Once that is set, the schedule page will be updated if you'd like to join!
If you're up for an adventure, this was an amazing, relatively short hike involving some fairly sketchy hanging bridges. The trail takes you past a waterfall, a small river, and the opportunity to see a ton of wildlife. It is about 30-40 minutes outside of the Manuel Antonio area
This beach is a bit of a drive, a little over an hour south of Manuel Antonio. Though it was one of our favorite beaches by far! It is called Playa Ventanas (windows in Spanish) because there are caves on the beach that look like little windows. On the way to get there you pass Dominical and Uvita which are definitely worth a stop!
This spot has one of the tallest waterfalls we saw in the area, with a long hanging bridge that takes you right alongside it! When we went it was during an El Nino, so it was a little more dried up than usual, though still impressive. This is where we almost ran into a snake FYI.
