Although there are some regional airports in the area, the most cost-effective choice is Norfolk International Airport (ORF), which is approximately 20 minutes from Virginia Beach and Chesapeake, VA.
We are not super familiar with the area, but we recommend staying in Chesapeake, VA, or Virginia Beach, VA, which are approximately 35 minutes from the Military Aviation Museum.
Bill and I have chosen the Military Aviation Museum in Virginia Beach, VA. As the name states, it is a museum dedicated to historic military aircraft. Since I was in the Navy, and Bill loves airplanes, we decided this was the perfect venue for us!
