Our absolute favorite spot for an unexpectedly delicious breakfast and a coffee. Perfect to go or to enjoy there.
A great spot for breakfast or lunch. Check out their second location, Little Wild, for coffee and gelato.
Truly a one of a kind dining experience. Take the Sulphur Mountain Gondola (you'll need a separate ticket) up to panoramic views and walk around the boardwalk atop the mountain when you’re done. Reservations recommended.
A retro ski chalet-inspired steakhouse. Go for the steaks, stay for the key lime pie. (Or, honestly, just go for the key lime pie.)
A real hidden gem. We recommend going when it’s still light out so you can enjoy the mountain views.
A casual place for local beer and comfort food that is great for families or large groups. The greenhouse glass roof opens up if the weather is nice enough!
Explore Banff Avenue, filled with shops, restaurants, and local attractions, and a can't miss view of Cascade Mountain. There's ample parking downtown if you choose to drive there.
Beautiful lake encircled with mountain views and plenty of easy trails off the lakeshore. We hope it will be thawed enough to canoe (or, not thawed enough so you can still walk on it!) Limited parking is available year-round at Lake Louise with a fee required for parking from May to October, consider taking a shuttle (https://parks.canada.ca/pn-np/ab/banff/visit/parkbus/louise) - We drove mid-May and were just fine.
Beautiful hike, that is really more of a walk, but wear good sneakers!
Drive up to the lookout to an open field (sometimes with bighorn sheep in it!) and views of downtown Banff. This makes a great stop before dinner at the nearby Juniper Bistro.
View the lakes from a walk or scenic pull-off. Go at sunrise or sunset for a breathtaking view of Mount Rundle.
Great for golf, debatably better for seeing wildlife. We recommend driving around at dawn or dusk when wildlife is most active.
We recommend this tour company if you're interested - but with some planning you can see most sights on your own!
