Alyssa and Juston met during their junior year at Arizona State University. Juston had just transferred in, and through mutual friends, their paths crossed. During their very first conversation, Juston looked at Alyssa and said, “You’re lost.” Alyssa reacted defensively at the time — but deep down, she knew he was right. What started as a lighthearted jab sparked a genuine friendship. As Alyssa began to find her way, she had no idea that her soulmate had been standing right beside her all along. On November 29, 2015, everything changed. Alyssa was working as a barista at Starbucks when a delivery man walked in holding a heart-shaped balloon and flowers, calling out, “I have a delivery for Rico Champ!” Blushing, Alyssa read the card aloud to her coworkers: “I love you, Champ! Love, Juston.” That sweet, thoughtful gesture marked the beginning of their official relationship. Over the past decade, Alyssa and Juston’s love has been tested in many ways.
