We met at Minnesota State University Mankato, in the Julia Sears dorm. During "move-in" week, my roommate and I kept our dorm room open, so that people could stop by and chat. During one of these days, I was taking a nap and woke up to find Chris, with a couple of his buddies, in my dorm. Chris and his buddies were mesmerized by a couple of bungee cord chairs. Chris and I found out that we had a class together . I knew where all of my classes were at this point, but in order to see Chris again, I acted like I had no idea where the lecture hall was and asked Chris where it was located. Chris, being the gentleman he is, offered to walk me there. From that point on, Chris says "it was hook, line and sinker".
On February 17th, 2020, Chris and I went to the Ice Castle in New Brighton, MN. As we were exploring the castle, we found a water fountain sculpted out of snow and ice. Chris suggested that we get a picture in front of it. After the picture was taken, Chris took off his gloves, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. After six years of dating, I couldn't say yes fast enough! It's about time we make this thing official! We could not be more excited to be able to share this next chapter of our lives with you. See you in November!
