For those joining us from out of state, the zoo has been a huge part of our relationship. We love animals and CJ specifically loves the goat statues right when you walk in (he takes a picture riding them every time we go). Would love to share the place we went on one of our first dates if you are looking for something to do!
Our ceremony doesn’t start until the evening so if you are looking for something to do in the morning, the Saturday market is a great place to check out! Lots of great food and music! :)
The Portland Art museum is an incredible place that offers new artists to showcase their art as well as long standing, beautiful pieces. While we lived in Portland, we were lucky enough to visit the Frida Khalo exhibit and it was incredible! Currently, they are showing Guillermo Del Toro: Crafting Pinocchio, Nature Vive: Paul Missmal and Color Line: Black Excellence on the World Stage.
Okay, with this one I’m not 100% sure that it will still be there in 2024, but I read somewhere it was a permanent exhibit so I am taking the internets word for it. Hopscotch is a LOVELY interactive art exhibit and CJ and I both had a blast attending. Note to y’all, it does book out a few weeks but if you are coming in early, tickets are available Thursday-Sundays and is a GREAT experience!
