Things To Do

If you're arriving early or staying after the wedding, there's SO MUCH to do in this area, especially in the summertime, and especially if you have a capable off-road vehicle. Even if you don't, attractions like the Idaho Springs cable car and the Georgetown Railroad are great options. We are also having a small gathering on Saturday at the ranch! We will have the spring pool open for folks to swim, and there are lots of places to hike and explore on the property. We'll have some music going at the house, refreshments, and maybe a catered lunch from one of the local restaurants. Mighty Argo Cable Car

The gondola is opening in May and should be in full swing by June! This is a brand new attraction in Idaho Springs, just 20 minutes from Georgetown and 15 minutes from our home. Enjoy a scenic ride or use it to access hiking and mountain biking trails.

Georgetown Loop Railroad

A narrow-gauge, historic railroad that goes from Georgetown to Silver Plume. They have Sunset Rides that are more chill and catered to adults, but the views are nice no matter the time of day. Can also add a tour of the Lebanon Silver Mine.

A & A Historical Horseback Riding

Horseback riding on historic mining claims, just a couple miles up a 4x4 road from the ranch (also accessible via Virginia Canyon Road from Idaho Springs). Good-natured horses and guides and stunning views.

Ghost Town Disc Golf Course

St Mary's Glacier Trail

A short, lovely trail about 45 minutes up Fall River Road from our house.
