Hang out at the Wittliff Family Farm and Ranch

Hang out at the Wittliff Family Farm and Ranch

17454 Farm Road 1660, Taylor, TX 76574

Located on historic Brushy Creek, this beautiful 400 acre working farm has pastures, fields, trees, ponds, and lots to explore. With now five generations of our family, and the Barkers before us whough bought the league from Mexico; there is a lot of history and even a few graves! 🖤Bikers🖤 love FM 1660 and can wind around the black lands roads of WilCo or take 95 south to Bastrop. Dual sports, we have pastures great for an Africa Twin or KLR, but stay out of the crop land. No trails set up yet so it’s gonna be bumpy (and fun as hell!) 🖤If you’re not a biker🖤 and just want to hang out, put your phones away and enjoy the scenery. We will have lawn games set up and plenty of outdoor campfires. Toast some marshmallows, drink hot coco, or drink some Texas Hill Country mulled wine. Enjoy friends, family, and nature and take a deep breath this holiday with us. Shooting is a possibility but safety is of the utmost concern, please coord’ with Kevin 🚨in advance.🚨Richards.Kevin@gmail.com

Texas Beer Co.

Texas Beer Co.

201 North Main Street, Taylor, TX 76574
, (512) 466-6939

Fun brewery that has established itself as a community cornerstone in our favored Taylor Texas. This is also where the bride and groom ended their first date :-). During the day its common to see family's hanging out and playing games. The building was a renovation from the old 5 and 10 store when the bride's father was a child. Now the whole building has the brewery, art gallery, coffee haus, and even a potters studio downstairs.

Louie Mueller Barbecue

Louie Mueller Barbecue

206 West 2nd Street, Taylor, TX 76574
, (512) 352-6206

If you're going to check this place out, GO EARLY. The line gets long and when they run out of meat, they close. This is one of the BEST places in all of Texas to get BBQ, and recently received the seal of approval by the groom's father. Still family owned, they follow the founders recipe to the T.

Coupland is the Bride & Groom's home but Taylor is the next largest town. If the new hotel (currently under construction) was completed we would have recommended staying here, but Elgin will have to do until its complete. We love our little town so if you're looking to get to know it check out the visitor's info in the link!

Southside Market

Southside Market

1212 U.S. 290, Elgin, TX 78621
, (512) 281-4650

The bride's favorite BBQ is still Southside Meat Market in Elgin. Built out in an old bank, you can still see the vault in the dining room. The baby back ribs are recommended, but Elgin is really known for their sausage. Don't forget to get some Blue Bell Ice Cream while your there! Its made deep in the Heart of Texas in Brenham, and a Texas staple. (You should have seen when there was a problem with manufacturing and Blue Bell had to stop distributing for a few months, everyone in the state lost their minds).

Kevin Fowler on 12/29 at the Old Coupland Inn & Dancehall

Kevin Fowler on 12/29 at the Old Coupland Inn & Dancehall

101 Hoxie Street, Coupland, TX 78615
, (512) 856-2777

The point behind each lyric, each guitar lick, and each twanging-rocking melody is the live show. Fowler has earned his reputation as one of the most amped-up concert performers to emerge from the modern day Texas country movement. For those that have experienced Fowler onstage, then you know he brings unbridled musical muscle to the platform. Backed by his trusty band he’s a dynamo – cracking jokes, hitting high notes, strumming his guitar and putting each of his fans in two-stepping mode.

Austin

Austin, TX

Just a short drive (30 to 60 minutes away depending on the exact location and traffic) is all of Beautiful Austin, Texas. Those of you that know our story know that Austin was very much "chosen" by Kevin and Alyson. Both were looking for change and both fell in love with Austin before they fell in love with each other. The wedding may be in small town backlands, but the live music capital is minutes away, so please enjoy! The website provided above is a great starting point.
