Why on a Thursday?

Answer

It’s between Christmas and New Year's Day so a lot of people have time off then. And the Dancehall has booked bands Friday and Saturday nights, so options are Thursday or Sunday.

Answer

No my father does not have a shotgun to Kevin’s head... We were just ready to start our life together and this was a good time for our kids and family so why not? Why wait? Ready to get the wedding “out of the way” cause for us it really is all about the marriage. (But the party will be fun too)

Can you move the wedding?

If you asked that then you don’t know how OCD Type-A, or stubborn we are.

Coupland??? Where’s that!?!?!

Answer

30 minutes from Downtown Austin and only 31 miles from Austin-Bergstrom Intl Airport.

Is there anything in Coupland???

Answer

No. It’s a small town. There’s the church we’re getting married in and a Dancehall that was originally a grocery store that Alyson’s great grandparents shopped in. And we kinda love it that way. There is a post office tho so, two horse town status.

But where should I stay?

Answer

We have that all written out in the travel section, so check there for lodging options. Preferred and Second choices are noted, but have a hotel option in the nearest town too.

It’s kinda far to travel for one night, can I stay longer?

Answer

Absolutely! Guests are invited to stay anytime between the 26th through the New Year.

Between Christmas and New Years... can I just stay for New Years?

Heck yeah you can! Enjoy the peace and quiet, until we shoot off fireworks that is... 🎇 (pending no burn ban)

Jeans, western wear, dresses, boots, Harley Davidson T-shirt’s, leathers, evening gowns, pajamas, just show up!

What’s the weather going to be like?

🚨 UPDATED!!!! 🚨 Free beer and wine! Awesome! Can I drive now?

Absolutely unequivocally NO!!!! We have secured SUV’s for shuttling people from dancehall to bonfire and bonfire to hotel in Elgin. If you don’t feel like carpooling or waiting on shuttle; Uber DOES SERVICE COUPLAND however it’s on the outskirts so please factor in wait times. We can help y’all get to cars in the AM if need be. Please do not drive irresponsibly. We like you, we’d like to keep you around.

Uber does in fact service Coupland (yay), however it is in the outskirts of their coverage so please factor in wait times. If you drive to venue please feel free to leave your car there after having some celebratory libations; we have secured a shuttle service to run from venue to bonfire and back to hotel in Elgin.

What about the kids

Answer

Pleeeease please please bring your kids to play with ours, they’ll have a blast. Just make sure we know so we can keep our headcount acurate! Also we plan to have a certified child care professional (CPR and used to watching 60 kids daily) there so they have a great time and parents can relax.

What if I don’t like kids

Answer

No problem, they will be in their own quarantined section so parents can have fun with adult conversations like “when do you take them to the dentist” until someone with out kids shames us into talking about non kid related things. Feel free to eat, drink, and be merry.

What about teens?

Answer

We have a few of those too, we'll set up an area for them to hang out on their phones and be antisocial like their generation prefers. Maybe one of them will slip up and talk to another one!
