Morgan Falls Overlook Park
A lovely park in Sandy Springs where we got engaged and had our engagement photo session.
Atlanta Botanical Garden
One of Alyse's favorite places to visit. We went to the botanical gardens for our first Valentine's Day.
Gibbs Gardens
Gibbs Gardens is a lovely garden about 1 hour north of Atlanta that we love to visit throughout the year!
Stone Mountain Park
Stone Mountain is exactly that, a mountain of stone. It resides within a park and visitors are able to climb or take a cable car to the top for an incredible view of Atlanta. During the summer there is an amazing laser show at night that Alyse has enjoyed taking friends from out of town to go see!
High Museum of Art
The High Museum of Art is a leading art museum in the Southeastern United States. We have been there a couple of times including the Infinity Mirrors exhibit when this photo was taken.
Center For Puppetry Arts
This is one of the few puppet museums in the world, located in Midtown. We took a great behind the scenes tour and checked out their Jim Henson gallery!
Atlanta History Center
The Atlanta History Center is not far from the hotel in Buckhead. We went here on our second date! If you are fan of The Hunger Games movies, you may recognize the Swan House behind the main building as it was one of the key filming locations!
Flower Child
This is one our favorite spots for yummy healthy food. Arthur loves the steak wrap!
True Food Kitchen
This is a relaxed, eco-chic chain located at Lenox Mall within walking distance of the hotel. They serve health-conscious fare, including vegan options, plus cocktails.
Dr. Bombay's Underwater Tea Party
For those who don't already know, Alyse loves to drink tea. This tea house and coffee shop is super quaint and cozy with eclectic decor, mismatching tea cups and tea pots, and walls filled with books. Alyse loves to go here for high tea. :)
R. Thomas Deluxe Grill
This is a funky outdoor spot open 24/7 for organic menu of burgers & vegetarian fare amid greenery & birds.
The General Muir
This is a New York-style deli, but contemporary and upscale with amazing matzo ball soup. Not far from Emory if you want to check out the campus! There is also a new location in Sandy Springs near our house!
Rumi's Kitchen Sandy Springs
Rumi's is one of our favorite places to go in Sandy Springs for a special occasion. It is Persian cuisine. We love the Chilean sea bass as well as the spinach date salad.
Thai Restaurant
This is a hole in the wall type of restaurant near our house with pretty good Thai food.
