FAQs

Question

Which events am I invited to?

Answer

All guests are invited to all three events. Please RSVP for each event. The Bride and Groom would love to see everyone all weekend long.

Question

Can we bring our children?

Answer

The nieces and nephews of the Bride and Groom are the only children invited to attend the Wedding Ceremony and Reception. However, they would love to see your adorable children at the other events. If you wish to bring them to the Pre-Wedding Gathering on Friday and the Post-Wedding Brunch on Sunday, please do. Feel free to contact the families of the Bride and Groom if you need some assistance finding reputable childcare services for Saturday.

Question

Can I use GPS to find the venues?

Answer

Yes and No. When using the venue street address, Maps will direct you to the Park address, and not the venue. Use Google Maps to find the venues via the venue name (White House Lodge, Hopkins Point Shelter). Unfortunately, Nathan's House doesn't register as easily to Google, so please use the address there.

Question

What is the best method for traveling to and from the events?

Answer

Rochester has a Uber/Lyft/Taxis. Please carpool if possible to save on parking spaces (and emissions!). All three venues have some parking limitations, by carpooling you can help keep the other guests from getting sweaty and tired before they arrive to give everyone hugs.

Question

Where do we park for the wedding?

Answer

The venue has a couple dozen parking spaces, but remember some of those will be taken by the party and the event staff. There is overflow parking directly across the street. If you are spry or feel young, please park across the street to provide ample spaces for those not so mobile or energetic. Also, please carpool if possible!

Question

Do we have to stay at one of the two hotels listed?

Answer

Of course not! Rochester is a small city, you can likely stay almost anywhere and arrive to any of the events within a half hour. Please feel free to stay wherever suits you most. The Bride and Groom will be staying at the East Avenue Inn and Suites on the night of the Wedding in case they have enough energy to attend an after-party.

Question

Wait, will there be an after-party?

Answer

We can almost certainly guarantee there will be an after-party! It will likely be guest-driven and located in the East End district of Rochester, near the East Avenue Inn and Suites. However, the Bride and Groom may or may not attend depending on their exhaustion from so much community love.

Question

Who made the invitations?

Answer

We did! (Well, really the Bride did, but the Groom was very very supportive!!) Along with some help from friends and family, each invitation was made by hand using all re-purposed materials (besides ink and adhesives, of course!). Since the invitations contain botany book pages and maps of Colorado, each one is unique from the others, and was selected with you in mind. Please enjoy.
