“History of a Supper Club The Rusty Barrell Supper Club was opened for business in October 1974. The restaurant seated only two-dozen people, and patrons cooked their own steaks. Upstairs was a bar area with a small dance floor. To gain entrance you have to walk down the alley, go through the orange doors, and ring the bell. There was no liquor by the drink back in those days and so we operated as a private club where members stored their liquor bottles at the bar and we poured drinks for them from their nicely numbered bottles. We kept the door locked and installed a door bell just like the prohibition era speakeasies. Kay County passed liquor by the drink in 1985 but the door bell and Orange door tradition continues to this day. So come by and ring the bell and join us at the Rusty Barrell Supper Club!”
“Family owned and operated we are proud to serve the best authentic Mexican food for over 30 years. Enrique along with his wife and sister-in-law started in 1983 doing it all along with a couple other family members helping out. Enrique and his daughter Mercedes are now proud of the 35 employee team and proud to serve customers from all over the world. Beginning with only 8 tables and a very small menu we have expanded over 5 times and now offer Mexican, American and Cuban dishes on menu. Located inside the airport not only is the food unique but so is the view. Enjoy the planes landing and taking off as you enjoy the best food in town. We strive to welcome our guests like family and are dedicated to giving you a memorable experience every time.”
