We met in the fall of 2022, thanks to a mutual friend (shoutout to Peter — the real MVP). It was a spontaneous night out in San Francisco: Aly’s first time going out in a while, and Sam’s first time ever in the city. Just the three of us the most random musketeers, wearing bare-minimum Halloween costumes, somehow stumbling into a night that would end up meaning more than any of us expected. At the time, we didn’t think much of it. But a few weeks later, we reconnected and something quietly, unexpectedly started to take shape. One conversation led to another… and suddenly, we were in something real. By winter of 2023, it was official. On February 15th the day after Valentine’s Day Sam made Aly his signature chicken dip and asked her to be his girlfriend. It was cozy, casual, and completely us. Since then, we’ve built a life full of shared adventures, quiet routines, and moments that now feel like home: Golf is our all-year rhythm. Whether it’s a trip to the driving range or a full round, we’re out there a few times a week. Sam’s the steady coach. Aly’s the determined student and “keep your head down” has basically become a lifestyle. Winter means weekend ski trips to Tahoe with broken chains, a whole lot of clanking. Cozy meals, audiobook marathons, and bundled-up dog park runs. Spring kicks off camping season hiking, cooking outdoors, sticker collecting, dog park stops, and somehow fitting all our gear into a closet Aly magically manages. Summer brings road trips, iced coffee, dog park hangouts, audiobook cliffhangers, and more golf plus Sam’s legendary barbecue steaks, burgers, and seafood boils for family and friends. He’s got the grill (and the crab legs) covered. Fall is for soups, grocery runs, movie nights, and the eternal mystery of who left the dishes in the sink? At home, Sam is the barista and bartender mornings start with lattes (complete with foam hearts), and some nights end with his signature espresso martinis or whiskey sips. Aly is the personal chef planning meals, shopping for ingredients, and making dinners that always feel like home. We’ve been there for one another through the wins, the whoops, and everything in between. Our relationship is honest, grounded, and real built on laughter, patience, long late night conversations, and love in every form. Summer of 2025, we got engaged and it was perfect.💗💍 And now, in the spring of 2026, we’re getting married and we can’t wait to celebrate this next season with all of you. P.S. Nos conocimos en el otoño de 2022, gracias a un amigo en común (un aplauso para Peter — el verdadero MVP). Fue una noche espontánea en San Francisco: la primera vez que Aly salía en mucho tiempo y la primera vez de Sam en la ciudad. Solo éramos tres, los mosqueteros más random, con disfraces de Halloween mínimos, tropezando con una noche que terminaría significando mucho más de lo que cualquiera de nosotros imaginaba. Unas semanas después, volvimos a coincidir y algo, de manera silenciosa e inesperada, empezó a tomar forma. Una conversación llevó a otra… y de pronto estábamos en algo real. En el invierno de 2023, ya era oficial. El 15 de febrero, el día después de San Valentín, Sam preparó para Aly su famoso dip de pollo y le pidió que fuera su novia. Fue simple, sencillo y completamente nosotros. Desde entonces, hemos construido una vida llena de aventuras compartidas, rutinas tranquilas y momentos que ahora se sienten como hogar: El golf marca nuestro ritmo durante todo el año. Ya sea en el campo de prácticas o jugando una ronda completa, salimos varias veces por semana. Sam es el coach paciente. Aly, la alumna determinada. Y “mantén la cabeza abajo” básicamente se ha convertido en un estilo de vida. El invierno significa viajes de esqui a Tahoe con cadenas rotas y mucho ruido metálico, comidas caseras reconfortantes, maratones de audiolibros y paseos al parque con Smokey bien abrigados. La primavera da inicio a la temporada de campamentos: caminatas, cocinar al aire libre, coleccionar stickers, pasar por el parque de perros y de alguna manera encajar todo nuestro equipo en un clóset que Aly organiza como por arte de magia. El verano trae consigo road trips, cafés helados, tardes en el parque de perros, finales de audiolibros de suspenso y, claro, más golf. También las ricas cenas de Sam. El otoño es para sopas, idas al súper, noches de películas y el eterno misterio de quién dejó los platos en el sink!? En casa, Sam es el barista y bartender: las mañanas empiezan con lattes (con corazones de espuma) y algunas noches terminan con sus espresso martinis o un buen whisky. Aly es la chef personal: planea los menús, compra los ingredientes y prepara cenas que siempre saben a hogar. Hemos estado el uno para el otro en los logros, en los tropiezos y en todo lo que hay en medio. Nuestra relación es honesta, sólida y real construida sobre risas, paciencia, largas conversaciones en la noche. En el verano de 2025 nos comprometimos, y fue perfecto. 💗💍 Y ahora, en la primavera de 2026, nos vamos a casar y no podemos esperar para celebrar esta nueva etapa con todos ustedes!
