FAQs

If you have questions that are not answered below, please feel free to reach out to us.
Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

Although we adore your children, we’ve elected to limit our ceremony and reception to adults only. This resort is adults only (18+)

Question

Do we need to stay the whole week?

Answer

No. You can book your reservation for as many or as few days as you would like. The wedding will be Saturday, October 11th. Max and I will be staying Tuesday October 7th to Tuesday October 14th. Please do not feel obligated to stay the whole time. Any amount of time you spend with us to celebrate our special day is appreciated!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Many of you will travel long distances to share our wedding day with us, so please do not feel obligated to get us anything else! We would prefer your presence rather than your presents. Thank you! A registry link will be included with the Madison reception invitations, if you choose.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Please dress "beach formal" for the ceremony. Suggestions: linen pants, short-sleeved button downs, maxi dresses, sandals etc. Just keep in mind it will be a beach wedding, so wind, sand and heat may be factors that you will want to consider when deciding what to wear. Restaurants during dinner time may have a dress code. Be sure to bring appropriate attire. Casual sandals/flip-flops and jeans may not be allowed in certain restaurants.

Question

Is the resort all inclusive?

Answer

YES. The Hotel RIU Kukulkan is a 24-hour ALL INCLUSIVE resort. This means that the one-time resort fee includes the price of the room, meals, and beverages. Some activities may require an additional fee.

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

YES! It can take up to 3 months to receive a new passport. If you plan on coming, I recommend starting the process ASAP. Current passport holders - please check your expiration date. It is recommended that your passport should have at least 6 months of validity remaining from the date of your departure. This web address will help you apply for a passport if you need one. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports.html

Question

Can I bring a guest/date?

Answer

Due to limited space in our package, we will only be able to accommodate those specifically listed on your invitation for the wedding day. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than April 11th, 2025. If you do not RSVP by this date, we will assume you are not able to attend. We need to provide an exact number of guests to the resort for planning purposes. If it is after April 11th and you decide to come, we will do our best to work with the resort but we would greatly appreciate your RSVP by April 11th. Thank you!
