Maid of Honor
Chenoa and I have known each other for over eleven years, although it seems way longer than that! She helped play a part in Tyler & I meeting, and has changed my life in countless ways. She's always there for me when I'm in need. She's there to tell me when I'm being crazy about something, or to keep me up all night just chatting about life. I know I can count on you for anything. Thank you for being my Maid of Honor. I can't wait to hear your speech, and it will be an honor to have you standing next to me on the big day. I love you bestfriend!
BEST MAN & FATHER OF THE GROOM
Dad has been right beside me through it all, the good, bad, happy, and sad. He is not only my dad, but my best friend as well. We continue to strengthen a bond that is second to none. We carry on traditions like playing music together, going to concerts and yearly festivals, and watching the Chicago Bears lose more than they win on Sundays, and sometimes on Monday and Thursday too. Hopefully we can start watching them win soon! Anyway, Dad and I have the best relationship, and there is nothing like having a best friend as a dad. There is absolutely nothing I could say or do around him and feel uncomfortable. Thank you Dad for always pointing me in the right direction every time I am unsure. Thank you for your participation in bringing me and Sky together. I love you Pops!
Bridesmaid
I met Laramie when I worked at Walgreens. She's a fierce, independent, sassy, beautiful woman. She's one of the hardest workers I know and a friend to everyone she meets. I always look forward to spending time with her because we have the best times together. She has an amazing soul and wisdom beyond her years. Thank you, for being there for me always, and agreeing to stand by us on our big day! Love you dearly.
Groomsman
My favorite oldest, little brother. Since day one Noah and I have been close. He has an old soul and great taste in music. When Noah is around it is always a great time. If you're ever around us, you will probably see us laughing at old movie quotes or talking about who the greatest musicians are. I have had the pleasure of watching this little dude grow into a remarkable young man. Proud of you brother. Love you.
Bridesmaid
Rianne was hired at The Standard a few weeks after me - our desks were right beside each other & we've grown closer with each day since then. She's been there for me during some of my darkest days, from my dad getting sick to my soon-to-be step mother-in-law getting breast cancer. She's there when I need to vent about crazy things going on at work or as someone to grab lunch with. I am beyond thankful to have met someone like her. You keep me laughing, force me to triple think things & volunteer to help with anything I need. My wedding day wouldn't be the same without you by my side. So glad you call you my friend, I love you!
Groomsman
Drew is my now far away brother from another mother. He moved to Myrtle Beach a few years ago, and it was such a bummer. However, nothing has changed. We still keep in touch religiously and when he comes to town it's as if he never left. Every time I look at my phone and Drew's name pops up, I brace myself for the laughter that is about to come, from some sort of hilarious reminder of something we got into at some point. He is also my most understanding friend with the most open ear. With that comes great insight and advice when I need it. Man, I just hope he makes his way back home eventually, we have missed a lot of concerts that have come through in the last few years. Drew I miss you big brother!
Bridesmaid
Sarah is my aunt and she is such an inspiration to everyone around her. Her love for Jesus and her desire to help others is so encouraging. Anytime I need someone to listen, someone to help make a decision or someone to make me play better volleyball - she's there. She's blessed my life in more ways than one and I can't imagine it without her. Thank you for being the you that you are and for never failing to know what to say. I love you and have full faith you'll continue to do great things with each day that's given to you!
Groomsman
Cory "CP" Patterson is my true brother. We have known each other for almost our entire lives. There isn't much that we haven't done, growing up together. We lived together for most of our childhood, and most of high school. It's a wonder we lived to tell some of the things we did growing up! We were always into something and wreaking havoc. We probably both have a memory or story to tell from when we were kids for every day of the week for an entire year. We have grown older, and wiser, and both calmed down a little bit. We still talk on a weekly basis, and our bond is as strong as it ever was. CP is now married to his beautiful wife, Sarah, and has two awesome little boys, Sawyer and Hudson. I am proud of you Ry. Love you Brother.
Bridesmaid
Amanda & I grew up together - I feel so blessed to have her in my life. As we've gotten older, we've grown and matured together. She's seen me at every stage in my life and always accepted me. We always seem to pick up right where we left off, no matter how long it has been since we've seen each other. I am so happy we're able to stand by one another during each of our weddings. Thank you for never losing faith in me & always being such an incredible friend. You will always have a place in my heart & home. Love you lots.
Groomsman
Ben is my little gigantic brother. We have been stuck at the hip for the past 6 years, literally. Ben and I worked in the kitchen together for a few years while I was in college. We immediately hit it off, due to the fact that we are both musicians. After college we found ourselves working together again at LU. On top of working together, we managed to be in a few bands together. We often kid with Sky about us already being married, because we are together for 12 hours a day. Ben keeps me straight when I get out of line. At work we are known to most as Han and Chewy, because we are always working as each other's wingman, and probably due to the fact he resembles Chewy a little bit! I don't know what I'd do without you buddy. Thank you for keeping me straight. Love you.
Bridesmaid
Idis & I met at my first job interview, & became good friends soon after I accepted the job at McDonalds in 2013. My wedding day will not be perfect without her presence as my bridesmaid. She's always shown unending love and support throughout our years of friendship and I know I can count on her for many years to come as well! Thank you for always being there to hangout and showing me that life is more than just work. Love you so much.
Groomsman
Ryan is my other big brother. Ryan watched CP and I grow up. I always looked up to him when I was young. Ryan, Drew, and I spent a ton of time together when CP went off to college. I have had some of the best times of my life and greatest memories when Ryan was around. Anyone who doesn't know him, most certainly will after just one encounter. He is always the life of the party everywhere he goes. Undercover, he is one of the smartest people I have ever met, and can make something out of nothing in a hurry. Ryan is now married to the coolest girl I know, Jenny, and has a little boy named Clyde. I cant wait for the celebrations and the festivities with you brother. Love you boy.
Bridesmaid
Lexi is my younger cousin. She's just as prissy as I was when I was younger! I'm working on teaching her the ways of living, while she keeps me up-to-date on "what's hip." She's an incredible kid that continues to make me proud. Thank you for constantly reminding me that life is too short to stress about things (unless we don't get what we want of course) - thank you for being you, & for being a little me. I am excited to have you by me on the big day! Love you kiddo.
Groomsman
Cam is my younger brother - I know he didn't have a choice but I truly cannot imagine what life would be like without him. Actually to be honest, I could imagine life without the spontaneous side squeezes whenever I walk into a room but besides that, I am forever grateful for him and his existence. Don't you dare fret; I will still be pestering you all the time, fight you on who really is the favorite, and continue to be the obnoxious older sister that I am... I hope that you continue to be the kindhearted, creative, and crazy little brother that you've been all these years. Thank you for sticking by me throughout life. I love you!
Groomsman
Lee is my favorite middle brother. This dude is a human cartoon character, and can light up a room like no other. He has been in my life since he was a foot shorter than me, and now he is a foot taller than me and still growing. He is still in high school and rocking all A's on his report card. It's always fun to take on his challenges of playing basketball, football, or races on the beach. He has yet to beat me in anything, but that time is coming I'm sure! Leeroy is shaping up to be a great young man. I am proud of you brother, keep on doing what you are doing and you will make it big in whatever you choose to do. Love you.
Groomsman
Camryn (aka Skippy) is my tattooed brother. I have known him for about 5 years now; and like Ben and I, we also have a very similar taste in music. Skippy is an awesome guitar player, and a kickass drummer too. It’s always fun to get together to play the heavier, and faster stuff that nobody else wants to play, and Skip is that dude. Not only is he a great musician, but a great friend as well. He would give the shirt off his back, and it's great to have a person like him in my life. It's never a dull moment when Skippy is around. I cannot wait for the festivities to begin with you man. We missed you at rebellion this year. You better be ready to celebrate in July. Love you bro.
Flower Girl
Aurora is my best friend, Chenoa's, daughter - I have had the greatest pleasure in watching this sweet girl grow, learn & discover all the wonders of the world. She's shy when she doesn't know you, but boy when she warms up, she is a character to say the least! I am so happy Chenoa has raised her the way she has, & I am blessed to have such an amazing little human walking before me. Chenoa, remind her how much her "Skyder" loves her!
Ring Bearer
Aiden is a bright light in both mine and Tyler's lives. We can never be in the same room with him and not be smiling. He's most known for running straight up to me, pretending he wants a hug and then snagging my phone! He knows more about country music than the average adult, and he's only 8. Smart beyond measures and an incredible kid. We couldn't imagine our big day without him. Love you so much Aido Potato!
Flower Girl
Julianna is my second cousin - she makes the cutest facial expressions of any individual I've ever met. She has the funniest personality & is constantly making everyone in the room laugh. She's just like me when she's hungry (feed me, now!) & always getting into things. I know she is going to look absolutely adorable & I truly can't wait for her attitude & spunk to join us on our wedding day! Love you Jewels.
Ring Bearer
Isaiah is my second cousin. He is the funniest little boy anyone will ever get the pleasure of meeting. He is full of life, happiness & joy; he keeps the good times rolling & will be absolutely darling in some suspenders! I've enjoyed seeing him at mini stages in his life & hearing all about what he has recently learned. Thank you Jake, for allowing him to accompany me on the day. Love love love this incredible little boy.
Mother of the Bride
This beautiful woman is my mama. I don't think she truly understands how much she means to me. The more time passes I realize that without her I wouldn't have made it to the place I am today. Thank you mama, from the very beginning: thank you for being my very first & favorite teacher; thank you for every volleyball game you ever attended; thank you for doing my hair throughout the years & teaching me to apply mascara, thank you for helping me shop for formal dresses and now wedding dress, & never minding to spend a little extra on the one that I love; thank you for all the holidays you made special & birthdays that were unforgettable. Thank you for "loving me more" & for the hugs & kisses when I needed them most. My biggest wish in life is to be mother that you are. I love you more
Father of the Bride
This is my daddy. Just because I will be married doesn’t mean I won’t be your little girl - you were my first love. You’ve taught me how to be an honest person who stands up for my beliefs. You’ve shown me how to respect others and challenge myself. You’ve taught me how important it is to do my best and to never be upset with the results if I do. You’ve shown me that it’s not acceptable to settle or to be treated poorly by anyone. The man who will be waiting at the end of the aisle for me is someone who loves me, knows my worth and will never stop making sure I’m happy - I know this, because, he's a lot like you. Thank you for raising me into the woman I am. I love you so much.
Step-Mother of the Groom
I have known Ashley since I was a little girl. She went to high school with both of my parents and plays a huge role in my life today. She inspires me to work hard and be a good mom one day. She never lets life bring her down and even when she's going through tough times, she's still there for Tyler and I. Thank you Ash; for being as strong as you are, and teaching me to be grateful for the small things. You don't know how thrilled I am that you'll be there on our wedding day. We love you to the ends of earth.
Mother of the Groom
Officiant
Duke is my uncle and he is an incredible inspiration. We get together as often as we can just to talk about the love Jesus has for each of us and how much of a role he plays in mine & Tyler’s relationship. He’s shown both of us that it’s okay to make mistakes and be flawed - we are love through them and above all. We are so incredible honored that you agreed to officiate our wedding. We can’t wait! Love you always.
