Growing up only an hour away from one another, Katie & Nicole became roommates freshman year at Regis University, and decided to keep it going when they didn’t have roommates for sophomore year. They’ve come a long way from “we’ll never be friends” (circa 2015 Nicole). These two have countless adventures ranging from the clam chowder-filled west coast of Seattle to the Taylor Swift concert in Toronto; and let us never forget the (epic disaster) 2019 San Dunes Camping Trip. Katie is Nicole’s best friend and sister (everyone else thinks so too!). These two can communicate through just a look, and Nicole could not imagine her special day without Katie!

Best Man
Kyle has been Nick's best friend for over a decade, building a bond through countless adventures. From launching a podcast about the ocean (yes, it is still on YouTube), to braving spearfishing trips, and laughing through a legendary--and slightly (extremely) tipsy--Bop-It marathon, their memories together are unforgettable. Kyle's ability to be there for Nick, even when Nick didn't realize he needed it, has made him a true brother in spirit. Over the last six months, Kyle has shown his support for Nick, messaging him at the beginning and end of every week, congratulating and encouraging Nick to keep going and persevere through the academy. Nick chose Kyle as his Best Man because his loyalty and infectious energy make every moment better. He couldn't imagine anyone else standing next to him on this special day.

As Nicole’s little sister, Hannah is for sure the cooler one of the two. She has always been the life of the party to Nicole. With about a five-year age difference, as Hannah & Nicole have grown, their relationship has, too. They’ve come a long way since they were kids; bickering over which Netflix DVD to watch next to who's turn it was on the computer. Hannah has also embraced Nick as a brother, and that will always mean the world to Nicole. There is something that will always be special about little sisters, and as Nicole has grown she has seen what that truly means. Hannah has been with Nicole through the hardest parts of life, and still manages to maintain an upbeat personality and make the room laugh with her jokes. Nicole could not imagine the day without Hannah standing with her.

Kyle, Nick's younger brother by six years, has been a constant presence in Nick's life. When they were young, they would spend countless hours learning how to throw knives on camping trips, boxing on the trampoline, and dressing up to play spy games. As they've grown closer with age, their phone calls about guns and working out--whether it's tips about gear or having Kyle give suggestions on new workout routines--have become cherished moments for Nick. Kyle's passion and fresh perspective has taught Nick more than he has ever imagined. Nick chose Kyle because of his unwavering support and he is thrilled to have Kyle stand by his side at the alter!

All the way from Minnesota, Katie K has entered the chat. Nicole & Katie met while working together at Swedish Medical Center. It’s always the best time when Katie comes to visit. Throughout the years filled with laughter, girls trips, and questionable nights at Improper City, they've always managed to be by each others side to support one another (even if that meant telling each other they're crazy). While Katie did move back to Minnesota some years ago, they’ve been able to maintain a long distance friendship through nursing memes and dark humor. Katie is and will continue to be a lifelong friend of Nicole's!

Grant came into Nick's life through his best man, Kyle, when they all worked together at Sports Chalet. Hitting it off instantly with their shared love for adventure. From spearfishing trips, to deep conversations about the outdoors and travel, their friendship grew fast and strong. Grant's everlasting support for everything Nick pursued, coupled with his kindhearted spirit, made him a true life ally. When Grant visited Nick & Nicole in CO, they spent the day hiking and enjoying pizza, with Grant raving about how perfect the couple is together. Nick chose Grant as a groomsman because of his contagious enthusiasm and genuine care make him the ideal person to stand by Nick's side.

Danielle & Nicole met through Katie K working on different units at Swedish Medical Center. They immediately bonded over books, Taylor Swift, and travel. From girls dates to Sweet Cow and lunches over charcuterie at Postino, trying to arrange a virtual book club (eventually learning it's very hard to sync schedules as adults) and commenting on each others Goodreads accounts, Danielle is truly one of the most valued friends Nicole has. Danielle's unique spirit and dependable personality make it a no-brainer to have her up on the alter!
Steven Kelley

Steven also entered Nick's life through his best man. However, they bonded instantly over their nerdy passions for computer and video games. From Steven helping Nick build his first computer, to epic, all-night gaming sessions at Kyle's house, their friendship thrived on late-night laughs and virtual victories. Nick will never forget the VR horror game at Steven's apartment that left him almost too spooked to drive home, or their unforgettable camping adventures in Joshua Tree and the Redwoods. Nick chose Steven because his lively spirit and dependable support make him perfect to stand by his side.
Amanda Grigsby

Nicole and Amanda met while working together at Swedish Medical Center. The start of their friendship will forever be ingrained into Nicole. It occurred at around 3am on a nightshift, talking about COVID with coworkers, and about the last pandemic in the US. Nicole and Amanda both corrected a coworker saying, "No, the Spanish Flu happened in 1917, because that's when Edward Cullen died", and the rest is history. Bonding over "Divorced Dad Rock" (shoutout 2008 Nickelback), Twilight, and late night Cheesecake Factory runs, Nicole and Amanda have countless memories and laughs together. Truly, the lore is endless with these two. Amanda is one of Nicole’s very best friends, and is so happy to have her standing with her on her big day.

Tristan and Nick met six months ago at the police academy, their friendship igniting when they sat across from each other on the bus during their first week, swapping stories that sparked an instant connection. It's hard to put into words how close they've become, the academy's trials forging an unbreakable bond that made them brothers. Through friendly competition, they push each other to be better every day. Tristan's playful charisma, jokingly threatening to "kick Nick's ass" daily (yet never proving he actually could) kept spirits high. At 23, Tristan dresses like he's 80, his "passion for fashion" shining through with outfits he pulls of with remarkable style. His constant support carried Nick through every challenge, and learning they were assigned to the same district ensured their crime fighting partnership would continue. Nick chose Tristan because his inspiring presence makes him the perfect person to stand by his side.

If it’s not wet food or nap time, she doesn’t want it! “Batricia” joined the family in May 2023. While she will not be in attendance she is one of the honorary pets of the day & ready for mom and dad to come home to feed her!

Anthony caught Nick's eye at the police academy, when he rolled up on day one in a sleek BMW, making Nick wonder if he was a corporal or a sergeant; only to discover it was just Anthony, a recruit with a larger than life charm. Their tightknit bond grew while supporting each other through every academy challenge, and will continue to grow heading to the same district. Anthony's legendary banana pudding has Nick inventing excuses for parties, while his Lululemon-only wardrobe could earn him a sponsorship. From bouncing ideas about police gear purchases (being self-proclaimed "gear sluts"), to teasing Nick about sweating over academy tests, Anthony's unwavering friendship shines through. Nick chose Anthony because his dynamic spirit makes him the perfect person to stand by him on this special day.

The second chicken recently joined the family in April 2024! While being the complete opposite of her sister, Mavis is all about cuddles, playtime, pets, and treats of course! She will also not be in attendance but is so happy for mom & dad!
