It was 2022, and we were both in a happy relationship—with ourselves. Life felt good, and we were content, but little did we know that something extraordinary was just around the corner. It happened in a bar in Amsterdam, a city buzzing with energy and possibility. Across the room, our eyes met. It’s hard to describe, but we both knew in that moment: this was the closest you get to love at first sight. From that point on, we haven’t been able to take our eyes off each other. Alva lived in Sweden, and Sander called the Netherlands home, but the distance didn’t matter. Almost instantly, we both understood that “home” was no longer a place—it was wherever we were together. In the Netherlands, Sander’s big group of friends welcomed Alva with open arms. They made sure she felt like she belonged from day one, and now Amsterdam truly feels like her home too. In Sweden, Alva’s close-knit group of friends embraced Sander just as warmly. Whether they’re visiting us in Amsterdam or making time for us during our whirlwind trips to Sweden, they’ve shown Sander that he has a second home in Sweden filled with love and laughter. The Visser, Goldman, and Myhran families have blended together beautifully over the past 3.5 years, forming bonds that feel stronger with each passing day. With parents, siblings, and extended family so deeply involved and present in our lives, their love and support mean the world to us. It's become a priority to visit them no matter where life takes us. Frequent trips to Amsterdam and Stockholm have become cherished traditions, filled with laughter, stories, and the warmth of being together. Every family gathering feels like a celebration of connection, creating memories that we’ll hold close forever. Together, we’ve built a life that connects two countries, two families, and two hearts—and we wouldn’t have it any other way. We are so excited to welcome you to our wedding in Sweden.
