Getting There
Fly into Montevideo (MVD), Uruguay’s main international airport. From there, it’s a scenic coastal drive about 2–2.5 hours to José Ignacio.
You can also fly into Punta del Este (PDP), about 30 minutes from José Ignacio, though flight options are limited.
Transportation
We’ll share recommendations for car rentals and shuttles soon.
Where to Stay
We recommend José Ignacio, Santa Mónica or La Juanita, all within a quick 5–10 minute drive of each other.
