Xander and Sarah met in 2020, coming together while everyone was further apart than ever before and bonded over a shared love of Asian food, especially hot pot and sushi. One of the most difficult points in their relationship was just around the corner as the Coast Guard sent Xander to Port Arthur, Texas for three years. Despite being separated by over 1,700 miles, they were able to stay close through virtual dates and building up airline miles flying back and forth. During that time, they learned lots of new recipes that they made over Facetime together, secured several Victory Royales in Fortnite, and added to the family by adopting Kal. After three years, they were reunited when Xander returned to New England with a new job at the Coast Guard Academy. After a year back together, the time had come and Xander proposed to Sarah in Cappadocia, Turkey against a backdrop of the rising sun and hundreds of hot air balloons. They’re so excited to have you join them in Morocco as they embark on this next step in their journey.
