While we were very excited to celebrate together with everyone, in light of COVID-19 the in-person celebration will be immediate family only. We appreciate your understanding. It was a difficult decision but one made with everyone’s health and safety in mind. We’ll keep you all close in our hearts and minds on the big day! We’ll post updates with highlights and photos to share as soon as we can. We know these are tough times and are not expecting gifts from anyone! However, some have expressed wishes to give gifts and so we do have a registry on this site. The greatest gift is of course knowing everyone is taking care of themselves and their communities though.
Amelia Miller, long time friend of the Prochaska family (Amelia’s mom actually introduced Alex’s parents to each other!) was having a party for her cat, Mildred. As luck would have it Amelia’s cousin Brett had recently started dating Gabby, a friend of Rachel’s. Gabby had helped Rachel move earlier that day and suggested she come to Mildred’s party that night. Alex had also come to Milred’s New Beginnings Party and was outside by the bonfire. Rachel arrived and they chatted by the fire for a while before everyone moved indoors. Alex, very indiscreetly, pulled a chair across the room to sit next to Rachel, and she seemed to like that. Everyone talked and played games and before Rachel left Alex asked for her number. They had their first date about a week later. *Fun facts: Gabby and Brett are now married and Mildred is still throwing great parties with Amelia!
