Alpana and Jorge first matched on Hinge in August 2021 (I mean, how else are Millennials meeting nowadays?). After talking for about a week, they decided to meet in-person. Jorge planned a date at a Sushi restaurant. That morning, Alpana made the brilliant decision of going to brunch with one of her friends (which means one mimosa became three) and lost track of time. She rushed home, got ready, and drove to the sushi restaurant.... arriving 15 minutes late. Jorge likes to describe Alpana pulling into the parking lot as a scene from Fast and the Furious (Tokyo Drift). During dinner, there wasn't a moment when either person didn't speak. They talked about their families, careers, and hopes for the future. They talked until closing time, when Jorge asked Alpana out again. The rest, as they say, is history.
