Hotel
Conveniently located right in downtown Decatur, which is extremely walkable and charming. Our house is just south of here. As a bonus, you'll be able to avoid a lot of Atlanta traffic. Decatur is a picturesque small city right next to Atlanta. Emory University and the CDC are located here and you'll find some wonderful restaurants surrounding the town square.

Hotel
For anyone who wants to stay in a very cool boutique hotel in the heart of Atlanta, along Ponce De Leon Ave, which is a main East-West street through the center of the city. This is where we had one of our first dates and where we got engaged. Centrally located (near Josh's theater, the Beltline, and Ponce City Market). The Clermont Lounge in the basement has a ton of lore if you're very adventurous lol.
Travel Note
If you're arriving at the ATL airport, there are a few transportation options: Yes, there is a train (MARTA) that will take you from the airport into the city. There's even a MARTA stop in downtown Decatur. You will take the Red line to Five Points station and transfer to the eastbound Blue or Green line to the Decatur stop. It's a 2-block walk to the Decatur hotels from there. Uber and Lyft are relatively simple from the airport. Just exit through the North baggage claim area and follow the signs. It's about a 20-25 min drive to Decatur with typical traffic. If you're driving or renting a car: From the airport, you'll take 85 North and follow whatever GPS suggests (probably 20 East). You shouldn't need to drive through downtown/midtown to get to Decatur. GPS may also suggest 285, which is the ring around the perimeter of the city. If you're coming from north of the city, you'll probably take 75/85 in and you may end up driving through the heart of the city. This is where the worst of the congestion is and it can be slow-going at literally any time of day. Again, GPS may suggest a few different routes including 285.
