What should I wear?

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Well, it's always 85 and sunny in Hawaii! The east side of the island can be a bit more wet, but June/July is the driest time of the year. Fingers crossed for the big day!

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be located at Kualoa Ranch - Hale Nanea and Dragon Boat Lawn locations. The two sites are side by side and connected by a small bridge. No travel is required between events!

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Outdoors - waterside and on the grass!

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

There will be a cocktail hour at the ceremony location with select drinks and appetizers.

Does your wedding have a theme?

Answer

You came all the way here...we'll just make sure you have a Hawaiian wedding experience.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 4:00 PM and guests can begin arriving at 3:00 PM. Plan ahead for travel time - Honolulu traffic can be difficult and may take you close to an hour to get to the ceremony during peak times. If you are driving to the venue, please have a designated driver. Cars are not allowed to stay overnight and Hawaii is known for DUI checkpoints. We want you to be safe!

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

Parking is free and located right outside the ceremony and reception site. Again, if you are driving to the venue, please have a designated driver. Cars are not allowed to stay overnight and Hawaii is known for DUI checkpoints. We want you to be safe!

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

Check out our Travel page! We have a room block at the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort. Reservations must be made over the phone, under "Jacobson / Spracklen Wedding" using the code when booking. We have also listed a few additional recommendations in the area, and AirBNB is always a great option! We recommend the Waikiki area as it is central to a lot of activities and there is so much to do - and, perfect weather all the time! If you like a more quiet vibe, the North Shore and upper east side of the island are the place to be.

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

Of course! All the drinks and all the food. We will be serving food buffet style for much of the night - offering some popular Hawaiian options!

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

We are happy to accommodate you! There will be no mushrooms and the menu will be gluten free. The side dishes were specially picked to offer hearty vegan/vegetarian options. Reach out if you if you have any special diet needs or let us know in your RSVP!

We have a few cash funds and a registry on Amazon. Check out the registry page for links and details!

Will transportation be provided to/from the hotel?

Answer

We will provide a transportation from the Outrigger Resort. Unfortunately, we may not be able to accommodate all guests but we will take a headcount on transportation needs in the RSVP.

May I take a centerpiece/candle/flowers home as a souvenir?

Answer

Please do - less items for us to shove in a closet somewhere. :)

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer
