The detailed breakdown is on the "Schedule" tab above. The ceremony starts at 10:00 at St. John's Church. It will run somewhere between an hour and 90 minutes. After the service, you can walk directly over to the Smith Conference Center for the reception, which will run until 4:00.
Nope! St John's is not conservative; please wear whatever makes you comfortable and happy. The church is not air-conditioned, so you may want to consider something cool.
There's a lot on Smith's campus that's about equidistant between the ceremony and the reception (which are a 5-10 minute walk away from each other). We made a map! https://goo.gl/14zUTX
It's not, and you can see the route on our parking map (https://goo.gl/14zUTX). However, we've also asked our fabulous friends and ushers Chris and Michael to guide people down.
We have the same question! But current forecasts call for rain.
There are assigned tables for lunch. When you enter the lobby of the Conference Center, you should see an easel with names arranged alphabetically and table numbers. Sit wherever you'd like at your table.
Ceremony is a free photo-sharing app designed for big events (like weddings). Our photographer is only staying through the first hour of the reception, so we're hoping that guests who like to take pictures with their smart phones will share their photos with us via the app so that we can get nice pictures of the whole event. Afterwards, we'll put together an album of everyone's pictures and send it out to everyone.
It is completely free for guests (we paid $5 to be able to download all the photos in high definition later). You download the app in your app store (Google Play or Apple App Store) or go to this link: https://get.ceremonyapp.com/SPENCERBUNCH Then you enter the event code SPENCERBUNCH to access our event. You'll be able to see all the pictures people have taken of the event and to add your own. You can take pictures directly on the app as long as you have data or wifi (see wifi information in next question) or you can share photos that you took later. The app takes weirdly good pictures though, way better than my normal camera app, even though it's using the same camera.
Yes! The network name is Connect2Smith and the password is sophiasmith.
Please refrain from taking pictures during the church ceremony. Our awesome photographer Sam has it covered. Feel free to take as many pictures as you want during the reception.
Having a tasty lunch, playing games, eating pie, and celebrating! More details here: https://goo.gl/y6WEh1
There will be a host bar serving beer, wine, juice, soda, and water from 11:30-1:30. There will be water available after the bar shuts down. There will be coffee available with pie.
There will be pita bread, pantzaria salata (beets, walnut, cheese, chives), and moussaka (layers of meat, eggplant, and potato with a creamy sauce and mashed potatoes and cheese on top). For vegetarians, there's a vegetarian moussaka. For people with gluten intolerance, there are kebab skewers and lemon potatoes. Everything is self-serve from the buffet.
