For everyone's safety, we ask all guests to take a COVID-19 test within 72 hours before our wedding (March 12). We want you to be safe, our international guests to make it home and for us to make it to our Belizean honeymoon, so please make arrangements to get tested. Safety first, kids! Should you receive a positive test, please text Luke or Ally.
While we are getting married at a western ranch, sorry partner, this is not a themed wedding. We kindly ask that guests forgo jeans/cowboy hats and wear cocktail attire to the main event.
Cocktail attire. But what does that mean?! Dress up! Please refrain from wearing jeans, shorts or sundresses. Instead, kindly wear suits and nice evening dresses (length doesn't matter). Oh, and dancing shoes!
Brides.com explains it better than we ever could, so here it is: "Cocktail attire is a balance between formal and casual and elegant and comfortable. To an event with this dress code, such as a wedding, men typically wear a suit and tie while women wear a cocktail dress." You can also read about cocktail attire here - https://www.brides.com/cocktail-attire-wedding-4844364
Layers! The desert can be hot during the day, but it cools down at night. Be sure to pack layers! And a bathing suit if you plan on swimming (swimming in jeans is weird)! Sunscreen and lotion are also a must, too.
Tanque Verde Guest Ranch is located on the far East side of town, so if you're not staying at TVR or the Hilton, we recommend renting a car for the weekend. Getting an Uber or Lyft to Tanque Verde Ranch is easy, but it's difficult to get them to pick you up at the Ranch.
A shuttle for guests staying at the Hilton Tucson East will depart from the hotel's lobby at 4:15 PM on the day of the wedding. Space is limited so please know that if you show up late, you may need to take an Uber or Lyft to Tanque Verde Ranch. Return trips to the Hilton will take place several times between 9:30 PM-midnight.
Our registry is on this website (see “Registry” tab above).
Since this is a destination wedding, we ask that gifts be shipped to our home in GA or sent digitally and not brought to Tucson. Our address is available on our registry which is found on the "registry" page.
Short answer: Why not? It's a special place! Long answer: Ally grew up vacationing with her family at Tanque Verde Ranch and we wanted to share the magic of the desert with all of you. It's where she learned how to horseback ride, met her horse Ricochet and made lifelong friends. It's also the place where Luke proposed! But more importantly, Carol Molina, Ally's mom, loved TVR. Carol is no longer with us and having a ranch wedding is our way of incorporating her into our special day.
In spirit! We love our petting zoo, which is why we're leaving them at home. We won't ask them to traverse the country for five minutes of fame. They'd be happy to meet you if you visit us in Atlanta!
Is the sky blue?! Abso-freaking-lutely! Prickly pear margs and guac for everyone!
