The hard truth - they met in Vegas on a work trip. Both worked the SEMA 2012 show at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Luke as a journalist and Ally as a PR pro, when Luke's colleague published a not-so-nice story about one of Ally's clients. Ally was then sent on a mission to have the story taken down and she found her guy in the SEMA Show press room. She proceeded to ask him (Luke would say "with sass") to remove the story from the interwebs. Ally was so focused on her task that she failed to notice the cute guy named Luke checking her out. Once Ally left, Luke turned to his colleague and asked, "Now who was that?" and made a mental note to seek her out at the next industry event. Over the next three years, Luke and Ally ran into each other at various events and would exchange witty remarks. But they never had the chance to have a real conversation. That changed at the 2015 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. By then, Luke had changed careers and become an automotive PR guy (they say you look for someone like your father...) and worked with Lamborghini at the Concours all weekend. It so happens that Ally also worked at the Concours, and the two spent an entire Saturday getting to know each other while working an event at the same hotel. Both went home after the event - Luke to Detroit and Ally to L.A. But a week went by and Luke couldn't stop thinking about Ally, so he decided to take a risk and texted her. Things took off from there! Days spent texting led to hours-long phone calls, which led to late-night FaceTime sessions with bottles of wine. Before he knew it, Luke found himself on a plane bound for L.A., with Ally eagerly waiting to pick him up at the airport. The two picked up right where they left off and spent a weekend exploring wineries, visiting Disneyland, horseback riding (Ricochet approved of Luke), playing with Ally's bunnies (Cinnabunn did not) and confirming what they already knew - they were absolutely perfect for each other.
