FAQs

If there are questions not listed here that we can help answer before you travel to NYC, please feel free to reach out to Ally or Judson!
Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We invite you to dress for a garden party and wear semi-formal attire that will feel comfortable for our outdoor reception. Note also that the sanctuary at St. Peter’s is not air conditioned, and New York can still be fairly hot in September. Because there is some slightly uneven footing around the garden, we also recommend comfortable footwear for the evening. We are excited to see you in whatever attire makes you feel ready to celebrate!

Question

Where is the reception?

Answer

If you are at St. Peter's for the ceremony, you are in the right place for the reception as well. We will celebrate together immediately following the ceremony in the garden and rectory (small church building next door), all at the same site.

Question

Will there be dinner?

Answer

We will not have a sit-down dinner, but we will have plenty to eat! Come hungry, and we hope you'll enjoy drinks, food, dancing, and time to mingle and be together during our reception after the ceremony.

Question

How long will we party?

Answer

Our reception will immediately follow the ceremony, and we are excited to celebrate with you there until 10 PM. New York is a wonderful city for continuing the party afterwards, if you so choose!
